In the 16th and 17th centuries, powerful French kings did not only demonstrate their power with their armies. The gardens of their castle were also a way to gain admiration and respect, while impressing neighbors.
But for this, each cut was calculated to the millimeter, each tree and plant had a carefully defined place. A whole art in a universe still preserved today.
