You certainly have some great footage Bevan! Thankyou for sharing it with us. I doubt we will see such a sight again, two 4-4-0s, on the mainline with the Pullman cars and no diesel assistance.
I love how you can here 3801s whistle in the background as the two double headers are just leaving😁☺️🥰🇦🇺🦘
There is something magical with steam on a wet day. Thanks for this magical video.
The sight of double heading 4-4-0's is just magic ! Awsome footage.
I came down from Tuggerah on a V set with my dad, was such an amazing event!
That was the last time we ever saw 1709 in steam, it is currently on display at Trainworks today.
LIKE #29, This is an Amazing "Blast from the Past" - beautifully recorded 15 years ago - thanks for sharing here - Greetings
What a beautiful sight
Never get tired of Steam trains and the stories told about them !
At the end it's like you can smell the smoke!✅🇦🇺
Great video Bevan, even though I am not a steam enthusiast the history aspect is still worth the viewing. Bib and braces and bowler hats, now there's a fashion statement from the past! I wonder how white the driver and firemans shirts were at the end of shift? Thanks for posting it, enjoyable!
How close to having a SPAD was that on approach to Strathfield?
The W set made an outing for the day as the Olympic Park Lidcombe shuttle.
I wonder if they will ever get one of the two z13 class engines working again cause I love those tank engines
These are not Z13s, One is a Z12 and the other is a Z17
Daniel Cook I know they aren’t but I would love to see a z13 running again
@@danielcook9032 1709 = H class #373...last of the class...1210 Z class.
