I really want to build up the courage to let people in, but I just find it really hard. I have suicidal thoughts on the daily and I'm self-harming quite bad and I want help, but I'm just so worried what others would think.

You are clearly going through a difficult time. If you feel that life isn’t worth living, you’re harming yourself or have thought about self-harm, it is important to tell someone. Whatever feelings or situation got you here, there are people who want to help get you safe and support you right now, and services that can support you in the future.
As part of the social media team for nhs.uk, we are unable to give individual health advice, but we can point you in the direction of resources and services that can hopefully help.
If you do not feel safe, or feel that your life is in danger it is important you seek medical attention urgently. Please dial 999 for an ambulance or go straight to A&E. Or ask someone else to call 999 or take you to A&E. If it is possible, get someone to stay until the ambulance arrives. For more information on getting urgent help for mental health from the NHS see www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/nhs-services/mental-health-services/where-to-get-urgent-help-for-mental-health/
If you can, speak to someone you trust about how to get support. You may find it helpful to speak to your GP.
For people under 35, you can call Papyrus on 0800 068 41 41 - Monday to Friday 9am to 10pm, weekends and bank holidays 2pm to 10pm. For people under 19, you can also text 07860 039967 or email pat@papyrus-uk.org. You can also call Childline to talk to someone about how you are feeling, on 0800 1111. The number will not appear on your phone bill.
If you ever need to talk, Samaritans are also available to listen at any time of the day or night. You can talk to them about anything that’s troubling you, no matter how difficult. Call free on 116 123 or visit the Samaritans website - www.samaritans.org

@@NHSso, what if you aren’t one of the “cool” kids who self harm and are 45+ and have been doing this for 30+ years? No resources for us old timers? Are we just to self harm ourselves to the end????
