Thats a badass truck there will always be a soft spot in my hart for square bodies the first truck i ever drove when i was 13 was 85 step side and my dad had a fresh paint put on when i was 18 and i drove it to my senior prom.
I had a deal working to buy that truck from the guy that built it but it was sold before I could get there to get it. He told me he had over $40K in receipts and gave many details about the build. It’s not the typical LS swap, a good deal of engineering went into it. The engine is set rearward a bit to improve weight distribution and handling. Also he hand built the AC compressor mounting bracket to be mounted low on the passenger side. It’s a beautiful truck, I hate that I missed out on it. I hope you enjoy owning it.
i still cant get over how much i love this truck,please keep it and keep it just the way it is or as close as possible,it looks PERFECT.it pisses me off my dad had a mint 1985 and gave it to his girlfriends daughter after tuning it up,safety checking it ,new tires,the works. then he told me to go f myself(not literally,just figuratively),this is his 4th girlfriend and he does it to me every time.he just passed away last week,miss him....a lot
