I talked to Billy about the SV-1 and ended up buying one a few weeks ago... you really can dial the settings in pretty easily to get exactly what you want out of it... I know, for example, what I want a Wurli sound to sound like, and the SV-1 offers you a lot of flexibility in customizing your settings. Plus, it's light!
MWow. having been a Little Feat fan for nearly 40 years, and having covered a dozen of their tunes, it's great to hear Mr. Payne and the SV-1. Like him, my musical history spans the electromechanical era. Having owned and played Clavinets, Rhodes, Wurlies and R.M.I., I think I've now found the Holy Grail of keyboards. Superb demo, looks like a great axe too! Thank you Bill Payne, thank you Korg.
Bill can play with anybody and has! He wrote Oh, Atlanta, Red Steamliner, and several other Little Feat songs. Great stuff, now I gotta go and cue up Waiting for Columbus!
It is a real pleasure to see Bill Payne fro the drivers seat perspective. Korg. Please. Can you release the footage of him playing? For the sake of all humanity. This mans style must be cherished ans passed on.
the KraftMusic demo on RUclips is much more indepth and really shows how beautifully this keyboard is set up for us ol' analog guys. I think it's a cool looking rig also. The sounds are impressive to my ear on the KraftMuisc demo.
This is craft of art :).I love 70' years and this sounds, this is a new engine RED EYE new colour and more functions I supposed - BLUE EYE in the Korg Triton Extreme this thing give warm sounds ,cool .
Awesome tune! Sounds great! Just a question, how do you connect and record the Korg Sv1 to a DAW and record sound? I cant seem to know what cables to use and what settings :(
Why do all of these pros pretend that the Hammond sounds don't SUCK (Oh yeah... cash). They are horrid: the note phasing kills them (this is a Casio level mistake, Korg should know better, especially since I'm paying $2,200) & the Leslie is laughable. No real B3 player will take these seriously. The Ai2 organs are more authentic. My SV1 arrives Tuesday & the organs are the first to go! At least this gives me space for more pianos!
the hammond sounds aren't horrid, i would like to give you a taste of a really horrid organ sound! however, SV1 is not concevied and built to be a Hammond Clone nor a good Hammond emulator, it's a pure stage piano with many electric and acustic pianos, that's the point.....a REAL B3 player always plays a real thing or a serious clone. it's like a modern rhodes with different characters and tastes, must be combined with a good workstation, or a synth, or an hammond clone, depends what you need.
That wurlitzer sounds like shit. The rhodes is exaggerated. Barks to easy down low and has way too much bell up top. The only thing that I thought sounded good was the acoustic pianos.

Awesome... great playing, great style of playing and the board keeps up to him so that in itself tells me a lot!

what amp would you use with the SV1?
I need help....

or pulse is soft as a synthesizer?
Thanks for answer.

Ev'ry keyboard sounds under Bill's fingers ;-)
