They took the atmosphere and art of the most aesthetically beautiful game, Origins, and combined it with the gameplay of the most current ones, it's beautiful. I hope the story is as good as the art.
"the atmosphere and art of Origins" No? They did nothing of the sort. The changed to artstyle to make it more appealing to babies. It's more detailed and just less pleasant to look at. This is blatantly obvious if we just look at how Vez'nan is presented in the original game, in origins, and how he is presented in vengeance. Same for some OG towers. The unnecessary detail on Archer's towers or something in the never games just makes the game look more goofy. So yeah, I disagree. I don't think this is even close to the atmosphere and art that Origins had.
@@reaperz5677 Adding more detail into a game like Kingdom Rush sadly won't make it better. Too much visual noise will confuse the eye, which is counterproductive for a game where you actually need to understand whats going on. Vengeance was even more guilty of this, because of the extremely saturated colors. The background looks amazing, but it takes away my attention from the gameplay part. The simpler artstyle of the old games fit the series well, though I can understand Ironhide wanting to improve and modernise their game

I love that they are already shaking things up as soon as level 2 with the Cutthroat Rats among other things. Usually the early campaign levels are rather boring.
I'll be honest, I was really worried about the state of Ironhide for a while. The teaser had been kinda poorly animated, and their advertising had been just TikTok slop memes, but this game looks really good! I know Vengeance wasn't the most well-received and JunkWorld / Heroes of KR were flops, but this looks really good!
Kingdom Rush is a great title, Frontiers an absolute masterpiece, Origins so-so, Vengeance honestly quite ugly, and Junk World literally trash (I really wonder how they could have released it). Honestly, this Alliance looks a lot like Vengeance, I hope I'm wrong...
Enemies in this game and vengance look to be very unsatysfying to kill, at least for me. KR Frontiers and the KR had chonky boxy enemies that were satysfying to pump damage into (savage warriors dying to funrace blast DWARPS has yet to be replicated). Origins had enemies that were less chonky (the twilight elves) but were still fun to see them run into the meatgrinder. The Twilight harasser while sleak had those huge blades at his sides that made him look bigger, the cutthroat saytyr while thin, was stooping and his arms were filling the otherwise empty space around him. At the same time the space those enemies occupied on the road was low. Spiders are propably the most satysfying enemie to kill along with the ammount of gold they give. Also the detail was spared for the more important enemies and even then they weren't that detailed. This is not a bad thing as they are easier to look at and one doesn't have to focus alot at that specific enemy to make out what they are. Vengance and Aliance has very detailed enemies, less boxy and pretty big for the lack of threat they pose. Most enemies also look like they should be playable heroes or special baracks units. My least favourite would be the Vengance Assassin masters, T-posing their way to accros the map, with those ebil eyes (why?). Compare that Assassin to the one from KR Frontiers, calm, standing still, soothing voice. The kind of guy who would kill you just by staring you down. Also bit boxy so to see him slug it out with say a dune raider is fun to watch. Another offender for me, would be the Corrosive soul from vengance, very tanky, 80% thin air and for how much movement there is in the animation (rocking back and fourth, jump running) he isn't as fast as one would expect. The wulfs and worgs from KR feel like a springs under tention. Ready to jump out and dart for the exit. The lycans from KR and Frontiers flail their arms around alot and, proportionally to their animation, they move fast, very fast. The moments where the enemies just go pop or go pof like the wulfs, sand hounds, goblins, gnolls, or even hordes of tougher enemies like the twilight eleves, demons or saurians are some of my favourite. The BLOON tower deffense franchise understands this well seeing chonky things go pop, which is, among other things, why it is so popular. The point I am trying to make is that more is not always better. The art in all games however is fantastic, iconic and worth of preservation.
i dont really see the problem, and what do you mean we wont see the old style, this IS the “old style”, theyve never changed their style ever, its been the same throughout, only thing thats changed is the quality of the graphics, this game looks better than the older games while still retaining ironhides signature art style

Though I am not playing the game, watching this alpha footage, the new Tower Defense game of Kingdom Rush feels like a mix of Origins and Vengeance. Now will we experience new Tower Defense Kingdom Rush in the future like the first three games where you cannot change towers in the menu you just have 5 available towers for you to play or will this be normal in the future games that there is a Tower Menu, you select the towers before you start to play?
They should add equipment Items for heroes like Armour, Weapons And Relics to increase states like Damage, Attack Speed, Armour For Normal Damage and Magic Damage reduction etc.. They can make more money out of this while some are free and some paid items for future game projects.
@@The_SSSlopper Vez'nan fighting on the ground would be too OP. He'll probably just sit on the sidelines whike helping you with fireballs every once in a while like he did in the last MC level lf Vengeance
really love the gameplay feels good , just hope it's not like frontiers vengance genuinely better balanced than frontiers , the only good thing i see from frontiers is the heroes and the towers , gameplay wise it was the only KR game that i suffered through. everything else was fun loved the original and origins , and vengance , whilst way easier , was pretty decent imho , not a top tier game like the first one or origins , but it was at the very least fine , it didn't feel bad (unlike frontiers for me , but eh , it is up to taste)

Quite a challenge for only barracks challenge run, their stab and stealth (and bleeding) destroys non-upgrade troops really fast
