Hey all! Sorry for the lack of uploads. I was on vacation and then got sick as soon as I got back so it's been hard to focus/record videos. I apologize if I sound or play awful in this video lol (this is an excuse, I'm bad).
I think this is kinda a UE5 thing, everything has been getting me and my friends stuck as survivor and killer after the update. I think after fix to Collison as a whole you might see some improvement
@@funynonsence yeah Ik, I don’t want that either. I love curve billy. On blight tho, even the trees on some maps like red forest or Macmillan have way better collision. Most of the time now, what you mean to bump into you will actually bump into, which I think is overall a W.
I’m still gonna play him. I never play blight because he was meta, I played him because the way he held his left hand up made me feel like some weird goblin man running around really fast hitting people with a stick.
Honestly, the change makes me really sad because I'm a console player who was JUST starting to finally get the hang of his hug tech, and then it's gone 😔 Great video, though, TwoKnee! Loving the content as always

Its way too easy to run a blight around now, without hug tech almost every tile if played correctly makes him an m1 killer, think we're gunna see a lot more nurses again going forward
this is contradictory as clearly the tile is played correctly (by the blight) if thats your conclusion. He is oppressive on every tile even if you play it correctly yoursef; that is what bump logic was designed for.

If you’re rewarded blood points by behaviour like rank reset or leftover currency from events that turn into bloodpoints you can go over 2 mil but you can’t go over 2 mil just by playing games
Blight actually works better than ever before in my experience! I actually bump off of things I expect to bump off of, and I’m doing just fine as someone who never used to Hug Tech anyway
They said they made collision better but for whatever reason it feels just as bad. The past few games I’ll bump into the same thing like two times even though I’m nowhere near it

I really hated playing against Blight (and I never got good at playing him), and his busted state was one of the main things that made me quit the game. This change might bring me back to DbD.
I dont see why so many are upset; this is an absolute win for solo players. Blight is already a potent killer & his tech could get hits that he shouldn't in the first place. For those who say, "If the blight looks down, he is gonna hug tech, so leave the loop." You know the game you're talking about, right? Even the Dev, who came up with blight, wishes he had patched it when he was still at the company before he left.
People are upset because BHVR seems to be taking out skill expression from the game. Hug-tech wasn't something that every Blight you ran into could do. It was something that dedicated players practiced and perfected. Fun techs like these are what keeps people around and if BHVR starts to crack down on all of them to make the game "new player friendly" or whatever they're thinking then they're making a big mistake imho. Sometimes techs can be life changing for games. Rocket jumping in TF2 is a perfect example of this.
I've never been able to play blight. I've always found nurse to be easier/less rage inducing because the power worked the way I expected! I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to rip my hair out after "giving blight an honest try" for the 10th damn time because I expected to bounce but slide instead. Never DC'd faster than when it just didn't work as intended. So finally, after all these years. I can maybe play a character everyone seemed to think is fun. This is a welcome change in my eyes. Also, I'm aware. Skill issue.
I gave Blight a couple of tries when I was picking up Killer, and I just couldn't get the hang of it. Got demolished every time. Just added to the hate I felt for the killer because he is so un-fun to play against (for me). He's one of the main reasons I quit the game. If this change does bring me back to the game, I might pick him up again to give him another honest try.
As a blight main for 500h, for me blight and the game itself are gone. Played 3-5 games on it and made a conclusion - it has no ability in loops and / or closed maps, like Raccoon City. Now it is only possible to use ability for map traversal and maybe in little fraction of loops. I can't really consider him neither S, nor A tier anymore. Alright, maybe he is A tier, but weak one - definitely not S tier, not even close. I ALWAYS liked to play against sweety blight with techs because this playstyle is unique. Other killer are so damn boring compared to blight, that's why my favorite killers to face against were Nurse and Blight. Now blight is as boring as every other killer :( Btw, if they want to fix "bugs" as they say, vacuum fix when? Also, when survivors will be nerfed? Last 6 months I saw only killer nerfs, not a single survivor nerf. In conclusion - blight is a regular, boring A/B tier killer now
The game really lost its luster for me. There was a lot of mismanagement by the devs and even though they aren't really in charge anymore, I don't really have a desire to play
this change basically turns blight into a boring killer to face and play. hug tech was something that changed how a killer is played and has skill expression and counterplay. blights won't play for it and instead play for bump logic, which means they will play very boring and not go for high risk, high reward plays anymore. which is the dumbest thing in dbd. its like removing Billy's curving. Billy and Blight don't need Curving or hug tech to be good, but having the option allows fun gameplay and skill expression of being creative, which is always a good thing in games. This also nerf's blight on controller. Blight can't flick on controller since you know, Controller, unless you run turn rate add on's and even then, its not a flick really. Blight's on controller rely on bump logic, but since they can't turn really fast side to side, it takes a lot of time, to allow different directions after bumping and well, hug tech does allow the reduction of time which allows controller to have a bit more advantage and not be at a super disadvantage compared to pc. i played blight on controller and struggled so much but the second i played pc, i could easily do bump logic and instant flicks to react to anyone.

Wesker's Skinibert, all his techs is a bug, (hence the name Skinibert.) but arnt patched either so we should patch Wesker and Billy I guess. Blight hug tech was in the game for 3 years. It became a mechanic that helped push him to be top tier when used properly. It was a mechanic core to him and unique to Blight. It allows the creativity that Billy and Wesker can do which is why both killers are loved by both sides and hugtech is actually pretty counterable and you can see the blight doing it. Second he looks down so it's a 50 50 if the survivor keeps looping or breaks. Most top tier blights in comp don't use hug tech to begin with and rarely use it. They play safe with bump logic and hug tech is moderately hard to learn and very hard to use it to it's full potential. Hug tech also benefits the controller players as it helps safe time which does help since you can't match the turn speed on PC so it helps cut corners for bump logic.
@@elitedragoon6484 Wesker always had hitbox bugs and they fixed some. The devs are not good at fixing hitbox and colision. Thats why they take years to fix simple bugs. Nurse had teleport bugs for years, only fixed four years later. It was not a mechanic and it was fixed after they reworked her three times. Billy is going to get some changes that are ore important then colision. Even Chuck had colision bugs but he is a new killer.

Wesker's techs arnt hit box, they are bugs in the code that allows rebound, turn mid dash and hug tech on him. (Why it's called the Skinibert by Wesker mains) Billy's curve isn't hitbox either, it's a actual bug that allows you to turn the way he does but it was kept as a mechanic since it makes him different and creative. Even Billy's hitting through an object and clip through it was also intended since it was added when the game first came out to prevent running around a tree or a Rock since blood lust didn't exist back then. It was an intentional change and you still see it to this day from time to time. Hug tech was a bug. It was added three years ago with a field of View change to Blight and wasn't possible before. Before, it was a Z flick bug but was patched. It changed how he was played and made him unique. It's the maps that have this problem. Most killers are fine for hitboxes except for Huntress, Twins (victor) and Trapper's traps but those can be easily fixed if they put the work in. Hitboxes and game mechanics are two different things.

Some obstacles are coded the same as the edge of the map so you can't teleport through it, and if you try to blink on top of an object, you can't do that so the game keeps you in place, why getting out of the basement is a nightmare since it will cancel it if you try to land in a tree or a tire. And Wesker's hitbox is smaller than his model for his bound, it's literally the same coding as Artist crows. (The line in front of Artist crows is their flight path and Wesker's bound hitbox is the same exact size, just different length.) so if a wall is in the way, he won't go as far. But he can also slide along objects since his hitbox is bigger than the line for his bound. So he can go right through. Chucky has no collision on his dash, he is the same coding as Oni so he can glide on any object and can't get stuck. Why Chucky's slice and dice can easily hug tech and glide along hitboxes that would stop blight, Billy and bubba easily. Fyi Blight's hug tech isn't a hitbox bug. You could always look down and rush, the reason they patched it so you can't be too close to a wall to rush, it's the same coding as Wesker's bound as well. It has nothing to due with his hitbox because if they remove his restriction. He could still hug tech with the better collision.

Perhaps it took skill to hug-tech, but it was technically and exploit, and one that made it impossible to play against the killer on so many goddamned loops in the game. That's just unfair and unfun. I hate Blight so goddamned much.

They did. I hate the changes too, but they did fix things that have no collision when they should.
Like the small tombs in eerie of crows, or SOME of the cars in maps like haddonfield.

Blight can still hug tech on the rocks at earie of crows and yamaoka estate and any car

It does not take skill at all to sploit the colision bug. The devs always said it was a bug and always take a long time to fix bugs with hitboxes.
