  • From August 2010 to December 2010, I volunteered at a veterinary college in Pong-Tamale, Northern Ghana. During this time, I lived with a local host family trying to integrate by experiencing the culture and learning a bit of the language. This video shows a snapshot of what my daily life was like living in the village.

    Blechta,
this is neatly put together, and plain beautiful.
    Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for this. A very good friend of mine went to Pong-Tamale with VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas) to help run the veterinary laboratory. I've often wondered what it was really like, and I guess it is little changed since his time there in 1977. I've just posted about him on my blog.

Hi! I am working on volunteering project focused on providing locals with latrines in Ghana. Could I ask you some questions privately? Thanks, Martina
