    A Polearm Fighter is mechanically the strongest. Crashing Slam auto Trip on a hit is insane. Crashing Slam + Slow is the most reliable way to deal with almost any boss Fight. These are often the most difficult encounters.
    The Sorcerer is underrated. A Draconic Sorcerer is the best AoE caster in the game. I would compare Dragon Breath with the Divine Font of a Cleric. Max level Fireball vs Heal.
    The Arcana list is very strong. It only does not have a heal, which can be solved at level 8. Taking Champion also helps for Lay on Hands and Heavy Armour. Maybe pick up Medic archetype too. I like having healing on all party members.

      Bard ALSO has access to slow. Everyone but divine casters gets slow. But bard also has access to synesthesia. Unless the sorc is an occult sorc, they ain't getting that. Which means they aren't going to be as good of a debuffer as a bard.
      Crashing slam can be gotten by a barbarian instead of a fighter through mauler and do the knock down thing...but with actual GOOD damage instead of the fighter's mid damage.

      @ColdNapalm42 I am talking about reliably taking away the (1 or 2) actions of a boss. This prevents it from using it's most powerful 2-action cost abilities. I am thinking about fighting a +2 level dragon for example.
      On a difficult boss I expect any spell to fail and then Synesthesia is good, but not as good as Slow. The boss can still e.g. Dragon Breath. Meaning a 1-round Synesthesia did nothing.
      They key to Crashing Slam is that it actually hits, because you want the auto-trip effect the most. Damage is nice, but not nearly as impactful as the trip effect. That's why Fighter is optimal.
      Keep in mind Fighter has Reactive Strike by default meaning it will still be able compete with the damage of a Barbarian, even though that is not even the most important.
      Taking a dedication is a pretty heavy cost and the difference between getting Crashing Slam on level 10 and 12 is huge. There are better dedications for a Barbarian.

      @@saprone8885 Dragons have better forts saves over will saves. Slow is 10% more likely to do NOTHING as that boss dragon crit saves. You talk about reliably doing something while using the less reliable spell. And why can't a bard spam Synesthesia? Did they not become spontaneous casters for some reason? What to do in a round of the boss having 3 less AC...oh...I don't know, damage it and remove it from the board maybe?!? The barbarian can get reactive strike if you think that actually adds meaningful DPR...but here's a clue...it doesn't. Aid to your single attack big damage dealers does. And crashing slam won't do much against flying creature...which...umm...why isn't the dragon FLYING?!? What, we are going to play them badly now? And oh yeah, hey, this is the most powerful thing in the game according to you...but barbarian can pick better...WTF?!?

      @@ColdNapalm42 I am saying the combination of Slow and Crashing Slam is very potent. Slow is only level 3 so it is easier to spam compared to Synesthesia and you get it earlier. If a dragon is tripped Slow is probably more impactful compared to Synesthesia. With only one action left it can only move, assuming everyone kites away from it, wasting its full turn without attacking.
      On average both Slow and Synesthesia will fail on a +2-level dragon. Synesthesia is more likely to hit, but at a higher spell slot. At higher level a Bard can use Synesthesia more often. I doubt it is always the best spell to cast though. I like the Sorcerer more compared to the Bard, because of having AoE to deal with groups of enemies. Which is something melee martials are usually bad at.
      A Fighter with Debilitating Shot could also be effective. The hit chance is decent and no resource cost. The main downside is that you only get it at higher level. A ranged Fighter can take Felling Strike. So far it seems the most effective way to bring a flyer down to the ground. Dealing with flying enemies is always a problem for melee characters. Taking the Sylph/Nephlim heritage helps to gain flight without relying on the caster. Also reach and Reactive Strike can help against flyers.
      Reactive Strike certainly does add dpr, especially with a 2H polearm. With Crashing Slam and reach it is reliable to trigger. I can see Aid being useful at higher levels. You need to crit succeed for it to be worthwhile. You most likely want to be a Human to get Cooperative Nature. You are giving up e.g. movement speed from being an Elf.

      The difference between the Barbarian and the Fighter can trip enemies easier and the Barbarian has more raw damage. Raw damage does not seem as strong to me compared to reducing enemy action economy.

      @@saprone8885 Did I say reactive strike does not increase DPR at all...or did I say it doers not do so by a meaningful amount?
      If you have crushing slam a dragon to be prone, that means somebody else already brough it to the ground. That is a BIG if and not an easily given state of combat. And you hit it with that attack (okay this part can and should be made trivial). And Slow was not a crit success. Through all that, the dragon STILL has 2 actions. Being prone does not ACTUALLY take an action away. Just need an action to clear that condition if you want to do any movement other than stand up or crawl. So if slow was not a crit success...a BIG IF since that happens something like 30% of the time BTW, the dragon can STILL just breathe on you and your party with it's 2 actions and stay prone. Or cast a spell...although that does trigger the fighter's reactive strike. I'm guessing the reason you didn't pick some other type of monster that is level +2 where this tactic would extra useful was probably because those are melee brute types and the fort and will save difference would have made it so the critter would need a nat 20 to crit succeed vs the synesthesia but would crit succeed the slow fort save 40+% of the time.
      And of course synesthesia is not always the optimal choice. Hence why bards can SLOW AS WELL STILL. Caster bosses...yeah slow them. Slow them into the ground. They wanna case 2 action spells...well...then they can't move and get chases down by your melee brutes to beat into the ground with their naturally low AC.
      Lex has pointed out how that +2 for the fighter doesn't matter as much as you think when tactics can swing the math massively in your favor. If all you need to do is hit something, when you swung the math by 14 points in your favor so you crit on a 8 against something with high AC that is 4 levels above you...that fighter +2 doesn't increase the ability to just hit. And really the 10% increase to crit while doing so much less damage than actual damage dealers (which the barbarian...even the giant barbarian...really isn't) is meaningless. Getting reactive strike is meaningless.
      How to actually take out a +2 level dragon in 2 rounds (kinda...because fly pre-buff). So level 9 vs an adult black dragon. Since the party knows they are going after a dragon, they have fly option up before entering the lair. The dragon win initiative. He moves and breaths a line of acid on 3 party members. 2 fails and 1 crit fails. The war priest casts 2 action heal on the crit fail and moves towards the dragon. Fighter activates fleet step and moves towards the dragon. Magus delays to last and moves and casts organ sight dragon and arcane cascade. Bard starts buff song with linger and hastes the magus. Dragon flys up to war priest and draconic frenzy. War priest delays. Fighter moves into range of dragon and does snagging strike, normal hit for 19 damage after eating the dragon's reaction. Ready to aid warpriest. Bard synesthesia the dragon and ready to aid the magus attack with performance. GM applies a -1 per 10 feet from the magus. The warpriest come back in with that -3 AC from synesthesia, +1 bard song, +3 from fighter aid (because DC 25 when you have a +21 to the roll makes it easy) and -2 off guard. With a normal +18 to hit. That hits on a 4...crits on a 14. And this isn't even maxing things out. The war priest crits for 2d8+6+5d8 with channel smite. for 98 damage. The dragon now has less than half health. Magus moves up, Get a crit aid from bard (being a helpful human). Spell strike imaginary weapon amped. With all the other things, once again needs a 4 to hit and 14 to crit. With true strike. Rolls an 8 as the better roll for normal hit of 2d8+11+9d8+3+6d6. Does 103 damage and kills the dragon. Dead dragon. Dead is the best condition to inflict. Yes the damages were above average, But if that true strike critted, even with average damage and the war priest normal hit with average damage, that is still a dead dragon. Even with all norrmal hits and average damage, that dragon is not long for this world.
      The bard can spam slow AND synesthesia. That makes them flat out the better debuffer. You can like the sorc all you want, but that will NEVER make them the better debuffer. No Bards don't deal with AoE damage. But what was my point about the bard vs the sorc again? Was it that the bard was better overall to a sorc even? Or that the bard was the better debuffer. Is English not your first language?

    Great video! I would say Gunslinger ranks below Fighter for sure because most the subclasses are melee. It also has to go through more hoops than Archer Fighter to just work.
    Also Triggerbrand Salvo on a Rogue is way better than the Triggerbrand when we talk high level play.

    While I agree with the Oracle and Alchemist slotting. I can't align with Rogue being under investigator and summoner being A+. The majority of the Summoner's rules simply bring it just below parity with most other classes and the self buffing abilities of summoner feel clearly under even something like the druid.

    Especially after the remaster rogue is easily the strongest late game class mechanically. You get all the extra skills and skill feats, sure but what you missed is they get a completely unhindered evasion on will and fort as well as legendary evasion on reflex. With canny acumen, you can have M M L on your saves. Then, there is the absolutly absurd combo of preparation and oppertune backstab or nimble strike. That plus keeping an enemy flat footed with precise dibilitation is super strong. If you want to take it even further, you can dual weild and take the ranger archetype for twin takedown. Your turn with prey set would look like, (move, attack*2, preperation, nimble strike/oppertune backstab*2) for a total of 3 attacks with no map as well as 1 with a -4 and all with sneak attack.

      It's not Ibsen, but there's only one way to improve! I'm guessing in as little as a few months I'll be wanting to re-do this (alongside whatever else I upload hahah).

    I've never seen anyone rate barbarian over fighter before. I can't judge on that, I've just really played two characters! =D
    One is a wizard, and I can sort of relate...
    The other is a rogue. He was a charlatan, and he was quite amazing. A thief is objectively mechanically better and perhaps one of the most lethal characters. I do not at all think I know more about Pathfinder 2e than you, but ... rating rogues so low surprised me. (They can do much damage with sneak attack and readily available Off Guard. And with their skills and skill feats they can be amazing for e.g. healing or scouting or ... quite a bit more, I suppose ;) )

      Have you heard of spellcasters? Because the versatility of spell lists makes the list of Kineticist feats pale in comparison.

    Wow this was informative for someone new to PF2e like me, even if I didn't understand a good deal of some of the terms/vocabulary.
    Do you think that the S tier, A+ tier, and A tier classes are still all pretty close to each other? Ie, if someone at the table 'min maxes' an S tier character and someone else at the same table picks an A tier character and only takes roleplaying/conceptual choices, will there be a big power gap between the two like there was in Pathfinder 1st edition days?
    As a GM, I just want everyone to feel like they have a role and I have both types of players.

      The "power differential" between the classes, even across several tiers, can be large enough to be felt for sure! But the most important thing is teamwork, as cheesy as it sounds. Pathfinder 2e does a really good job of making sure that collaborative play (and character building, if you go that far) is rewarded more heavily than any solo optimisations, which means a poorly built Wizard can contribute just as much as a top-tier Fighter- and in fact might even save them from a situation they can't handle themselves!
      Or, generally- I wouldn't worry too much about the tiers. Make something fun and work together with your team, everything will go fine. The two types of gamers can coexist very healthily here.

    You have no idea how much I appreciate that you don't over-value that +2 accuracy of the fighter. Especially since at high level and very tactical play, you are looking at swinging to hits for your damage dealers by double digits. Fighters and gunslingers however are REALLY good at getting those numbers to swing in the damage dealer critting favor. Basically because they get access to master and legendary aid bonus 2 levels before anyone else.
    If the ONLY issue with the magus was that you need 3 actions to spell strike each round and an extra action to move...haste. And that would solve the issue. The problem is, you really wanna be running organsight so anything...even bosses...that you crit gets removed from the board. With movement, that is 5 actions you need a round. On top of maybe wanting to do anything else to help the party. Basically, you have to accept that the magus is gonna spell strike every other round unless the party goes ALL IN on just supporting that sweet sweet DPR. And basically have a complex flow chart to funnel you into spell striking every other round while meaningfully impacting the fight between.
    Precision ranger on a horse animal companion using a lance and shield with gravity weapons so you get +4 damage per weapon dice. But if you though the magus was action intensive...1 action for horse to move and support, one action to raise a shield and one action to attack is 3. Plus you need hunt prey. And an action to get gravity weapon up. And being able to aid is always good. But it does make for a pretty good knight in shiny armor build. Just complex in play.

    Great video I'm curious about the dedication you referred to for the warpriest in your cleric section. What does this refer to?

      The Cleric is getting an aura-focused frontlining class archetype called "Battle Harbinger" in Lost Omens: Divine Mysteries, which releases in November! I'm pretty hopeful that this will scratch the itch various people had for a more melee-oriented caster, which Warpriest did not satisfy for some.

    I'm only going to focus on one egregious issue here: the Gunslinger is misassigned in relation to your other slot assignments. Its average damage output is consistent with a Ranger's, math proves this out, and it can't do the other things a Ranger can do. Fighter outperforms a Gunslinger in every way. Your Gunslinger assignment is an objectively bad take.
