      I love East Frisian Tea! After years of enjoying British tea with milk, East Frisian Tea has become my favorite since moving to northern Germany. It would be fantastic to find Kluntjes (rock sugar) made from Stevia and erythritol, as I have diabetes.

      @@danielspeier5269 Peppermint tea is my favorite beverage for winding down at night. I make it using fresh peppermint leaves and let it cool. To help manage the side effects of diabetes, I add a magnesium tablet to the drink.

    as everyone within seconds should have noticed: the way Frisians drink tea is kind of similar to how the English drink mostly tea. With milk or in the case of the Frisians the better refined choice of using 'cream'. Most of Germany do not used Milk/Cream for Tea ...

    The tea plant is propably in India, because Assam tea is one of the main ingrediences to this tea recipe along with Ceylon and Darjeeling. Look for the name "Ostfriesentee". If you have Assam tea at home you can try the ceremony with this one as well. The tea must be quite strong. IMO it is close enough for a first try. There are different recipes in Ostfriesland out of 20 different teas. No chance to mix it all by yourself.

    First video i ever saw of you and only one hour after it being uploaded.. being an east frisian myself I absolutely recommend local tea to you. :P A friend of mine is visiting his parents in Thailand right now as well. I dont know if you can just get it there, but you could probably import it, have someone send it to you or something. :) Nice video btw!

      Do they only put cream or milk in the tea I live in Sothern Europe we don't put cream or milk in our tea only sugar if black tea and honey + lemon juice if it's like
      a chamomile tea.

    • @derboki88
      @derboki88 23 дня назад +1

      @gregorygant4242 traditionally I think it's not even milk, but only cream. My grandma always drank it with few drops of lemon juice, some drank it with only the rock sugar, no cream, no lemon juice. So it's still to your own taste of course. :)

    Not that much of a tea drinker, but I´d go with Ostfriesentee too... rock sugar, milk, tea... no stirring, so the teas gets sweeter with every sip you take!
    7:35 to many mointains, this is not East Frisia... it´s a very flat coastal area in northern Germany

    7:45 This doesn't look like a German landscape at all. Rather looks like Sri Lanka. I once was in Kerala, South India, where I saw similar landscapes. Kerala is on the southern tip of the subcontinent and just a short hop away from the island of Sri Lanka, and I'd really have loved to visit the island, but my tourist visa was about to expire, and unfortunately I had booked a return flight to Europe in advance, otherwise I would have flown back from Sri Lanka.

    It calls east frisia, but it is not in the east of germany or east europe. Its between netherland coast and the northwest corner from germany. It is maybe 140 km from my home away😅 my foster father is a east frisian. He drunk his tea in the same way.
    7:39 no, that is india landscape or in china. 😂 we here in northern germany have not such landscape with mountains😂😂😂

    Ich trinke 3-4 Tassen Tee am Tag. Vorwiegend leckere Kräutertees. Im Sommer vorwiegend Ingwer mit Minze. Im Winter Früchtetee nit Orange, Mandel und Zimt. Ansonsten 1 grosse Flasche Wasser Medium. Morgens zum Frühstück Tee und ein Glas Orangensaft. In Deutschland wird viel Mineralwasser getrunken. Auch werden Coca Cola, Limonaden , Kaffee, Kakao,Milch und auch zum Feierabend Bier. Aber nicht alle Deutschen trinken Bier.

    In the area I live in (near Aachen), people usually drink coffee instead of tea. There were even Coffee smugglers because we live so close to the Belgian and Dutch Border and Coffee used to be much cheaper there. I prefer instant Ice Coffee. You can get it in the store as a powder and just have to mix it with cold milk from the fridge. To make it especially good, you keep the glass in the fridge too so the Coffee doesnt warm up quickly.
