Ha-ha! You caught my initial idea for creating this video. This is my record from the last year, but all the time I have not time to make a good video. But a week ago at last I decided to make it just to devote it to today's World Cup Val Gardena downhill event and to show the famous Saslong from various points of view. I happy you understood my idea! Thanks a lot! BTW, I have three videos about another World Cup piste in Sölden, you can find them in my channel.
Hi, thanks! But unfortunately, this video is made from records of the last year. I afraid, this season I won't be able to ski at all. 😪 I have a lot of other records from the last year more, but have not enough time to process them into good videos. So, this season maybe I will be "skiing" only in my films of the last year. 🙁
Hi Simon! Thanks for stopping by. Yeah, Saslong is a very cool piste! 🤘 Good news - I am healthy, bad news - looks like I won't be skiing this year at all. But I have a lot of non-processed records from the previous season more, in particular from Italy, and plan to make new films from them. Right now I start to make a serie of videos about SellaRonda.
@@happy_skier glad to hear you are healthy... gutted you won’t be skiing this year. I’ve just cancelled my accommodation for France and Switzerland this winter.. looks like we are in the same boat. Stay healthy and I look forward to your new videos
sehr schön! hast du schon mal daran gedacht, die gopro (oder andere actioncam) am kopf manchmal mehr nach unten zu neigen. das macht das video noch dynamischer und bringt ein noch aufregenderes feeling rüber. :-) lg aus österreich
Thanks a lot for your comment and recommendation! Generally I make two kinds of videos: (1) piste and ski area demo with stops and panoramas like this one; (2) non-stop piste/route run in the more sport style. For the first case I try vice-versa to tilt my action cam upwards to show landscapes better. For the second case I tilt my cam downwards a little bit and you can see tips of skis in some videos. But maybe you are right, tilting downwards even more would be better.
piccolo errore nel titolo. La pista Saslong si sviluppa tutta nel comune di Salva di Val Gardena e non a Santa Cristina. Un errore molto comune per la vicinanza dell'abitato di Santa Cristina ma... la pista è tutta a Selva.
Interesting clarification, thank you! 👍 Maybe only Italians know this fact. But, anyway I noted Santa Cristina in the name of the video due to another reason, not administrative divisions. Simply, actions of my video started in the Santa Cristina and finished there as well. I think the reason of the mistake you said about is because finish of the Saslong is just in the Santa Cristina.
@@happy_skier The finish of Saslong (and your video) is in Selva di Val Gardena. Anche "Trentino" è errore. Si deve scrivere: "Trentino-Alto Adige". Trentino è solamente la provincia di Trento e Selva di Val Gardena è Bolzano. Nei titoli dei video si può scrivere qualunque cosa. Thanks for visit bud! Unfortunately, not.😪 This film is from my record of the last year. Simply I decided to make a new film which shows all parts of Saslong, the World Cup piste, from all sides before this year downhill World Cup event on this piste last weekend.
Great to see how the piste actually looks like after watching the men's downhill race!

Does it look like any of your local resorts will open at all this year? Nice footage buddy

@@happy_skier that’s unfortunate. Hopefully by next season all is back to normal
