This is a proper work, the internet is full with people paint their pianos with wall colour and a brush.
Looks great!
Looks fantastic! If you haven’t tried it yet try an ultrasonic cleaner for the brass parts that has saved me tons of hand buffing time!
Thanks Jordan, I’ll have to look into that!
@@2468tom2468 also use a jewelers tumbling machine before the ultrasonic, it will polish the brass parts naturally.
WOW 🤩
Cool video man - how do you re apply the decal?
Nice job, just one question: how you print the brand on the Piano cover?
Hello Tommy, I love your work, I want to paint a piano that I have at home, and I wanted to ask you 3 questions:
1-Between layers of color do you use sandpaper?
2-What kind of paint do you use?
3- Do you use a protective finish?
Thanks for your time.
Hi, I can tell you my opinion even if it is little late, but the questions are good and can help others.
1.first you sand the wood, the number depends of the condition of the surface, then you apply the primer and you must sand it up to 600 grid minimum.
You paint the preferred colour usually two layers without any sanding,
2.I use car colours without the metal inside, they have hardener and they are better quality from other type of colours.
3. Yes I apply varnish two layers.
Nice job man! I have two questions.
1. What was the white paint you used after sanding the Wood?
2. What tip o sandpaper did you use?
Hi John, it’s a primer stain blocker that I put on first. As the Farrow&Ball is water based paint I do this just to stop any stain in the wood being drawn out to the surface. I use 240grit orbital sandpaper.
Thank you.
How about the logo? Did you made a New one?
@@johndincan yes new logo
And how did you made it?
@@johndincan special process, this is just a behind the scenes video for my business I can’t give out too many details as to how as a lot of the processes involved are secret and I have to be weary of competition. The reason for this video is to show my customers that the work is done to a professional level and not just slapped on with a paint brush.
Any idea what the color was that you painted it?
Hi there, it’s Hague Blue by Farrow & Ball. If you’re using it for furniture or in this case a piano I recommend getting it colour matched by a specialist and using a hard wearing paint as F&B (even their furniture wood paints) are not durable enough long term
Can you come and paint mine please ?!
It is a service I offer in the UK 😁
