This is an excellent video. I just came across this and I found it very helpful. Somehow this kind of coverage helps understand very well compared to some theory. Even though I have never played Catalan with either colour I found this very interesting.

@@ask-avrukh1922 I got your book and started working through it right away. Very impressive and exactly what I was missing in other books. This is basically all one needs to play the catalan. I ordered the other 3 books as well and feel that I finally have a complete and very structured approach in becoming a d4 player. Thanks for all that work!!
Just to a small technical detail about the video; on minute 11:56 there is a title missing. Not important but just in case you want to fix it

Hi Boris, I have you Catalan opening book, it's great and has helped me a lot! I was wondering if you have any recommendations to better understand the concepts of openings and variations; i'm really good at memorising but i struggle in understanding some moves in many variations and what are their purposes. Thank you very much!
If you have an option to find annotated games in Catalan, for example Mega Database. If I remember correctly there are games of Kramnik, Gelfand etc.

Hi! I bought your 4 books 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B. Lots of variations so I try to understand rather than memorazing. GM Turov told me this concerning learning openings. My highest rating at lichess is 2324. Good video! Actually my other opening move is 1.b3. Do you belive in 1.b3?
Hello. Thank you for buying my books! Understanding is the most important, but some lines you cannot avoid memorizing, it's highly important. Greeting to GM Turov , I know him personally. I do respect 1.b3 , I can tell you one funny story: one of my ex-students, who qualified for recent World Cup actually picked up 1.b3 after studying Adhiban Chessable course to play against strong GM! Even though he lost this game, but he got great position out of the opening.
