Without a top centre and right winger, his performance won’t go up!

To be fair his best season he played with Duclair and Bennett. Both decent second liners, neither are top line talent

He was playing with Barkov in his UFA year getting around 100 points, calgary has nothing like that and HE cannot do it himself
We need out of this contract or a decent shooting finisher on our team

He played with Bennett and Duclair for the vast majority of that year 5v5

I honestly expect Huberdeau to have a better season, So many games last year he made many great passes to dangerous spots and the players either missed the net with the opportunity or shot the puck right in the goalies emblem. Its super frustrating. The guy needs to shoot more, and stop forcing passes through 2 defenders. He is disgruntled and just seems frustrated all the time. I don't know that West conference style hockey is for him, its big heavy hockey and its not north south like east style. Not too sure Huska's style is for him either, i get it, if you are an elite player you have to adapt and make due, but i think he needs some players to play with that actually know how to find open ice in quick time so he doesnt get smothered before he passes the puck. So many variables lol.

I really hope he's going to have a better season. What's your prediction? He had 55 and 52 points in the last two years. Is 60 fair? 65? I agree he totally had some flashes of brilliance but he still had a statistically worse season than the year before

@@NathanExplosion1989 I am honestly expecting 65 points minimum from the guy. Not sure what they need to do to get him going, his best season he got 115 points playing mostly with two hard working diggers in Bennett and Duclair. Both left shooters. So what do you do, try Pospisil at center with him? As he is as close to a sam bennett as we have, and then Mantha on the other side? Mantha does have a really good shot and its pretty accurate. Or kadri at center and pospisil on the wing? I honestly want to see pospisil have a long look at center this year he was a center his whole growing up and was center this year at the worlds for slovakia and looked great there.

@@jerryjay-vv6wu decent ideas. I thought he was starting to get some decent chemistry with Zary and C and Sharangovich at the wing at the end of the year. I'd love to start him there. I know zary isn't like Bennett physically but think about where Zary has scored from. He was behind the goalie on two occasions I remember and in tight on most of them. Plus he's really smart when it comes to finding open ice, and I find sharangovich is good at slipping away from coverage too.

@@NathanExplosion1989 It is a great season to try all the things. Now that Markstrom is gone and the rebuild is essentially in full effect, we need to bottom out this year as we know so MTL gets FLA pick. And i really don't know if Kadri will start the season with us either, If Landeskog isnt coming back and Nikuskin is still suspended from the league or in player assistance you better believe Avs are coming knocking for his services. It is really time to shake the lines up, seperate the backlund line and just mix the whole team up and try everything. Long looks for zary and Pospisil at center etc. I am kind of exited to see a bad team play this year as we can see what all we have in all the young players.

He's not adaptable at all. when you have to scourge the rest of the NHL to try and find someone who might work with him, He's over paid more than anything.
Look at his record, minus 2 seasons (that weren't back to back), he's an average of 70 points/season. He's not worth anything. He has no second effort, can't contribute in any other fashion than an innate ability to pass.

“Calgary won the trade.” Thanks for sending us Tkachuk and then laughing at us Panthers about it. Who’s laughing now? We’re polishing the Cup after beating your rival for you. Bye, chumps. I’d be nice if you guys would’ve shown more class about the trade.

No it was the imbecile Treliving that made the mistake signing him to that horrific contract. Huberdeau made a great decision by signing for 10.5m per season, easily double what he is actually worth based on his performance.
