Man it seems you don't know the whole mgk em story since you said this is where it started, but it started years before
So MGK made a sort of disrespectful comment about Hailey, after some silent time MGK said he was banned from shade 45 and it was because em was mad and stuff like that (em had not said anything public about mgk at all until Not Alike) some years later Tech and MGK release "No reason" where MGK's lines are subs towards Em, That is what made Em respond with this track.
You probably know the response from MGK With rap devil and Em's Nail in the coffin with Killshot (Making MGK quit rapping and switching genres), but Em kept spitting in MGK's grave with multiple tracks, Like gnat, unacommodating, etc
if Em would've responded on this level to rap devil, mgk would've changed to gospel.
