No auto tune, no canned backing tracks, no video wall, no moving head lights, no in-ear monitors, no recallable digital mixing consoles, no big corporate sponsor banners, no line arrays, no digital modelling amps, trap array speakers held together by a tow strap, stage so small there's not even enough room for the singers to be center downstage, and Scott Hall (Razor Ramon) mixing monitors. Just a band doing their thing and owning it. There will never be another time like that in history ever again.
I was lucky enough to see them during this same warped tour in San Diego Ca. This was the only time I got to see them and it left me with a forever lasting Impression of how great women singers in bands were in the '90s, this band would be so huge today.
seeing these recordings from the 90s makes me so happy. really captures some of my fave memories of warped as well as great moments in third wave history! DHC rules!!
I saw DHC on this tour in Northampton MA. This was a superior performance to the real good performance I saw!! Better PA and bigger stage on this show, led to a wicked badass performance. Karina's energy level was at an all time high here!
Being in Fresno during the early 90s was a special time. We all ignored whatever mainstream crap was out there, and made or listened to our own bands that we created.
@@c-dublifeIt was Mark, but it’s about Elyse, the other singer, not Karina. Mark was asked in an interview what the song title meant, and he said something like ‘well I couldn’t call it Elyse from Dance Hall Crashers’
I saw them last in Victoria BC in the mid 2000's. I don't know what it's like now unfortunately, but Victoria had a thriving Ska scene in the late 90's and late 2000's when I lived there
Thanks a lot for posting. I come back to this set all the time. Hard to say that this was their prime, because they continued to put out good records until their last, but certainly an exciting moment for the band. The first time I actually heard them was on the Warped Tour 96 sampler that I assume came out right before this tour. A band called Red Five also played on this tour. Not sure about this date. You don't happen to have any footage of them, do you?
@@hellaacapella actually I think Blink played right before.... I liked DHC more but I was super excited to see Carousel live... Which I remember more than the DHC set. Honestly I really don't remember either other than I was shocked the crowd was moshing harder than I thought was necessary for Dance Hall... And not many ppl saw Blink that afternoon...
so cool to see this set. I used to see them all the time at the Capital Ballroom in SE DC during mid 90s. Fun band. Catrina is keyboard player for nofx now, right? Maybe I just made that up.
I had to look this up but this is a fun fact! She is touring with nofx on keyboards... must have been wasted when I saw nofx a few years back because I completely forgot or just didn't notice it was her! 🤣 This girl needs to pay more attention 😅😅

no smart phones in the audience.
One of my fav 3rd wave ska bands. The older I get, the more I love them...

This band just makes me smile.
They were an incredible band. Perfectly whimsical.

Miss this band so damn much
Woww this is awesome i was only a year old when DHC came to NJ . i grew up in atlantic city
I went down so many rabbit holes to get here, this is amazing!

Karina is so kooky! love her weird faces.

Goddamn their energy is contagious. I would have loved to see them live.

miss these guys!
Saw them a couple times at Warped Tour and then a seperate show here in Chicago at the HOB. Man I wish the would get back together
Wish I wasnt 9 when this came out, I love ska punk music when I first learned about it later in life
Thank you friends!
Ha, is that Tom from Blink? Man, their voices are so good together.
It indeed is Tom DeLonge.
tom dated Karina or was it mark, can't remember. apple shampoo is a song about it.
@@c-dublifeit was Mark. that was a Mark song.

so this is what stage presence is like
I like the grumpy ladies at the mixing board, looking at Karina and being jealous of what an absolute bad ass she is lol
The best show of dance hall crashers. Uauu.. amazing!!!!!
I’ve searched all over for a live performance of the song “Good For Nothing” have you ever seen one??Edit: never mind I just found it
@@td315 i love that band. No man i dont know. Sorry.

The yarmulke was an interesting touch.
I was at the action park date of this tour. They put on such a good show
I wish the world was like this.
So fun to see. This Warped tour '96 was my first. Mine was in Tacoma, Wa though.
@J H that's pretty cool!
That was excellent. Dickie from TMMBT making an appearance too
I was at this show! Thank you so much for posting this.
DHC never lets you down at a live show.

Excellent footage
Fucking awesome footage dude! I miss this band so so much.
TAKE ME BACK!
Hope to see them back together at Supernova one year.
No one is gonna talk about Tom in the background of the whole video??!!
They played next on the same stage as I recall.... I believe I was there for it.
Who was the better act?

Straight up legit Bay Area Ska!!
What I'd give for a reunion tour, or even just a one off show...😖😥

411vm best of 3 !!! This song rocks
I'm there in the crowd somewhere.
Would've have been nice to have the audio summed to mono. Only had the right head phone on and thought there was no audio. :-)
Karina
come back DHC !!!!!
Good god, what great picture quality! How do make 1996 look like 2016?
indeed.
Agreed
Essa banda é foda de mais!
God, I'm old
Holy cow I was in that crowd!
OMG! I'm looking for myself as well... Hahah
La chica de lentes esta muuuy bonita, sobre todo cuando baila.
Saludos desde Monte Grande, Argentina!
tom delonge in the back? lol
Tom the Alien Delonge.
Ha. You read my mind.
Blink's song Apple Shampoo is about one of DHC singers. Apparently they dated and she used that shampoo.
Bobby Apple Shampoo is about Elyse, one of the vocalists from DHC that he used to date
It's quite funny, the guy at 27:49 sorta looks like Mark from when he had shorter hair haha
tom delonge?!?
Is that Jason Thornberry running sound?
baby Tom Delong in the back ground.
Dickie Barrett of MM Bosstones, and Joe Sirois the drummer. Is that Gabrial Mc Nair of No Doubt, with the crazy haircut too I see?
Norwood Fisher of Fishbone
oh yeah your rright.
I cant tell if the bass player is wearing a yamaka, has a bald spot, or bleached the crown of his head.
Fuck It's making me uncomfortable lol.
Maybe both?
12:10 Im pretty sure it takes a lot of skill to do that
If only they did Shelley!
so 90s
I hate the warped tour stage guards.
oh shit it's fred durst
うーん やっぱ 23分18秒 くらいからの曲 ええなw これぞ DHCって感じやなw
They mad
So weak, A 30 year walk and that is the pathetic lol. Glad people were more proud in the end..
sorry no comment
David Spade on guitar 😂
