It’s actually not, it has a lot to do with the lighting where she’s filming in her house. But if you see in other videos where she’s in the bathroom or in other parts of her apartment you can see the skin more clearly. I love her and how honest she is in her videos, she doesn’t seem to use filters like 99.9% of other RUclipsrs and it is a major reason why I follow her, she’s real 🙂

I like to think that the sun lighting really is a tell all on how my skin naturally looks. Humans went many years with just the sun light and candles. Not to mention seeing skin on camera is a lot different than in person. The lighting in the bathroom and other parts are usually artificial. Not the most flattering lighting for any one.
Having Dr Dray regularly reminding me about how it isn't the products per se that help with good skin but rather the consistency with which you use the products and also how less products equals less risk of irritation has helped me so much with sticking to the few products that I use and know work for me. There have been times when I really wanted to try new products (and sometimes I did) but for the majority of those times I've been able to stop myself from buying new stuff just for fun, which has had a positive impact on my economy as well as my skin. Forever thankful for Dr Dray!

I'm on my 3rd bottle of the SkinFix cleanser and I love it. A bottle lasts me about 3 months but I only use it at night as my second cleanse and 1.5 pumps does the job. Glad you talked about it because, despite the fact that it's not cheap, I think it deserves some more attention.

I find the baby healing ointment never sells out here in Canada but the regular healing ointment does. Funny since the ingredients seem to be the same.. LOL Sucks to be them. I am going to keep it a secret and keep going to the baby aisle to buy it.

I've used the FirstAid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. It's nice but not something I'd purchase, (received a sample tube). The eucalyptus is something I don't want in my skincare products. As for effectiveness, the Vaseline Intensive Care Deep Moisture jelly cream works better and lasts longer IMO. Fraction of the price too. :) Happy Monday! :)

I had never heard of Cereve ointment before becoming a subscriber. I have it now and use it every night on my lips, eye lids and under eye area. Saw improvement in the look of all these areas after two weeks. Pretty affordable, and effective for mature skin.

I use the First Aid Ultra Repair Cream on my kids! My youngest is very fair with red hair and skin that is sensitive and prone to redness. This calms him down nicely!

Yes I stopped using them because of that. There are cruelty free options she talks about that are just as good. Helps to send the companies a message, or else they will have no reason to go cruelty free, you know?
Have you tried the renewing night cream? My face doesn’t like their cream, loves the regular lotion. But I really enjoy the night cream w peptides & use it as an eye cream in day
We live in an extremely dry area and the Aveeno Calm is great for my sons skin. It worked better than CeraVe for him. I wear too much makeup to work well for me, but def great for people who wear very little to no makeup.

Mine uses dove bar soap.. no moisturizer. Sunscreen only when we go swimming! He’s 37 & I’m 38.. his skin is just flawless & sooooo good. I can’t get him to try anything.
Same here. My hubby got a ridiculously expensive safety razor, oil and cream so I said really smooth skin needs a moisturizer. So now he uses the Cerave and the Neutrogena Hydraboost. Now if only he would wear sunscreen every day. SMH he is on the same bottle as January and super white, I am on 4th and very melanin blessed.

I am in my mid 40’s and started having extra sensitive skin. I have always had sensitive skin, but my skin has become dryer and more irritated. I’m going to try the Aveeno cleanser after watching several of your videos.
I absolutely love the first aid beauty cream! I have oily skin but it doesn’t exacerbate the oiliness and I still use it even in the summer. I switch between that and Clinique’s gel moisturizer. Also I’ve been using drmtlgy’s new physical sunscreen per your review and have been loving it!
Speaking of the kate somerville, have you tried the isntree HA water essence? It's got several types of HA, beta glucan, niacinamide, etc. It's sold on iherb.
Love the Thrive. Also worth noting on top of being an amazing mascara that stays on well in crazy heat (Phoenix) but comes off without rubbing your eyes... they donate with each purchase. Definitely a more pricey mascara but it lasts quite awhile for me, I wanna say like 3-4 months with wearing like 5-6 days a week. Will continue repurchasing that as well as the Aveeno Oat Gel Moisturizer. 💕❄️

I've used the FirstAid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. It's nice but not something I'd purchase, (received a sample tube). The eucalyptus is something I don't want in my skincare products. As for effectiveness, the Vaseline Intensive Care Deep Moisture jelly cream works better and lasts longer IMO. Fraction of the price too. :)

I had never heard of Cereve ointment before becoming a subscriber. I have it now and use it every night on my lips, eye lids and under eye area. Saw improvement in the look of all these areas after two weeks. Pretty affordable, and effective for mature skin.
Omg how did you go through that Aveeno Cleanser so quickly?! I got it from your recommendation, and although I double cleanse everyday, I’ve barely used 1/6th of it.

I use the First Aid Ultra Repair Cream on my kids! My youngest is very fair with red hair and skin that is sensitive and prone to redness. This calms him down nicely!

I love Aveeno. And I love the new Calm and Restore line too. I only wish they would go Cruelty-Free. Maybe in the future more companies will do so.
Yes I stopped using them because of that. There are cruelty free options she talks about that are just as good. Helps to send the companies a message, or else they will have no reason to go cruelty free, you know?

The Cerave moisturizing cream is the best. I use it on my face every night.
Have you tried the renewing night cream? My face doesn’t like their cream, loves the regular lotion. But I really enjoy the night cream w peptides & use it as an eye cream in day
We live in an extremely dry area and the Aveeno Calm is great for my sons skin. It worked better than CeraVe for him. I wear too much makeup to work well for me, but def great for people who wear very little to no makeup.

I really like the Attitude brand as well. I have psoriasis, as well as overall dry sensitive skin, and I have found many of their products enjoyable.
Finally got the Mr. to use Cerave lotion on his face after shaving “hows my face?” 😉 Maybe I’ll put some Aveeno serum in his Xmas stocking though

Mine uses dove bar soap.. no moisturizer. Sunscreen only when we go swimming! He’s 37 & I’m 38.. his skin is just flawless & sooooo good. I can’t get him to try anything.
Same here. My hubby got a ridiculously expensive safety razor, oil and cream so I said really smooth skin needs a moisturizer. So now he uses the Cerave and the Neutrogena Hydraboost. Now if only he would wear sunscreen every day. SMH he is on the same bottle as January and super white, I am on 4th and very melanin blessed.

I am in my mid 40’s and started having extra sensitive skin. I have always had sensitive skin, but my skin has become dryer and more irritated. I’m going to try the Aveeno cleanser after watching several of your videos.
I absolutely love the first aid beauty cream! I have oily skin but it doesn’t exacerbate the oiliness and I still use it even in the summer. I switch between that and Clinique’s gel moisturizer. Also I’ve been using drmtlgy’s new physical sunscreen per your review and have been loving it!
I love function of beauty and now they Are selling it at Target cheaper.

Love the Thrive. Also worth noting on top of being an amazing mascara that stays on well in crazy heat (Phoenix) but comes off without rubbing your eyes... they donate with each purchase. Definitely a more pricey mascara but it lasts quite awhile for me, I wanna say like 3-4 months with wearing like 5-6 days a week. Will continue repurchasing that as well as the Aveeno Oat Gel Moisturizer. 💕❄️
