I was impressed when I ended up at a cross section where the atop light wasn't functioning in L.A. and all four sides new how to behave e without a traffic cop present, two rows went from the south, two rows went from the east, two from West and two from north till the light went back to normal. No traffic jam, no bs. Also Americans are great at being fans, they'll cheer and give you a courtesy laugh even if your humor is a little flat but you r trying. Part of the problem is, is that people don't bother to read the signs. Or if they do, they just ignore them anyways, either out of entitlement, arrogance, or rebellion.
