Hey Phil guess what?! I took a screenshot of your little bird and ran it through Google Lens. The photo you posted on FB of this bird was top left of the list! Had your FB title name too.
I can relate to your excitement, Phil! When I find a new bird and manage to get the shot, it feels just as rewarding as acing an exam. Amazing work capturing this lovely bird for the first time!
Nice work! Warblers are moving through OH too. So fun to try and catch them. They are so fast! It feels so quiet now compared to summer just trying to find birds to photograph. I’m waiting for the ducks to come in soon! Nice shots!
I'm impressed! 1/250sec at 600mm and no blur is a feat on its own! Your first picture of the warbler is 🔥. I work with same combo and I've managed to take a good picture of a fox at 6400 iso, but it's the max that I'll use.
Thank you! I try to use low shutter speeds whenever I can to keep the ISO down. But you can see when I showed the whole burst. There were only two or maybe two and a half that were sharp.
Congrats on the lifer my friend!! You made beautiful images of the Maggy. I love seeing these beauties. Next fall plan a trip to NC you will see them in spades during the fall migration. They are here in the spring too.
Beautiful Phil. Wildlife is sometimes a crap shoot. I really, really, REALLY like that combo. The A6700 with the 90mm macro lens also shoots amazing macro. 💖🤗
Beautiful, Phil! I love taking pictures of birds, they are so sweet- I love it when cock their little heads sideways. Question: Do you bring your arms against your body & hold your breath before you shoot a hand-held photo? Just wondering- my Dad taught me that and I do it out of habit. I will say it has 'saved the day' on occasion.
Thank you! I do that sometimes, but these shots were made with the camera resting on the open window of the car while I was sitting in the driver seat.
@@PhilThach Sweet! That is my #1 favorite way to capture shots- except it was my husband driving and when I'd see a shot, I'd ask him to stop. (backroads & such) I'd roll down my window and take the shot, but if it was a landscape or something way off, I attached my long lens. Then open the car door a bit, put my right foot on the running board and use the door to steady. For some of those I would I would steady the camera on the top of the door frame- otherwise I held by breath. LOL! Ansel Adams would sometimes sit in the back of a truck and get shots that way. It's amazing how the perspective can change when you are sitting in an F150 for height! The majority of my best nature shots were taken that way.
Great shots and congrats on a lifer. I am planning to upgrade the camera and a6700 is one of the option i have. Thanks for those nice comparison and detailed pics. How is the video performance from the camera? Is it handy without a tripod to use this in wild?
Nice work Sir 👍 For birding & wildlife, with a decent Lighting, would u recommend 6700 or A74 ? Given the lens Sony 200-600 or Sigma 60-600.. APSC's 600mm is 900mm Field of view which is phenomenal on Paper.. Do we get the same sharpness if we Zoom in, at FullFrame ? Overall, is APSC's 26MP is Good enough for long range shots ?.. Tq
Always enjoy seeing the photographs that you get on your walks.

Great shots as always. That body/lens combo works great!
Thank you, Tim! I think I could pretty much take care of all of my photography with that little camera and a few lenses.
A lifer is always something to celebrate, so congratulations for that. Am really considering the camera but with a 100-400 for a lighter setup.
Thank you!
