I would love to see the follow up after adoption and how she is doing today.
Yes Sue l just said the same..she looked so improved at her adoption day but that was like 6 weeks ago so l bet she's looking real fine now ..l remember her intake when they tracked her through her coggins to exactly where she had been..auction to auction all over the USA..Gods blessing brought her to Tawnee and Jason..🇬🇧💕✝️🙏👏👍🐎🇺🇸
She was adopted last month into her home, and is doing well. Unfortunately, at this time we don't have the financial ability to send our film team to our adoptive homes to do update episodes after they are adopted. If you would like to make a significant donation to make this happen and add more people to our team to film such things, please let us know.

@@hphs Hi!! Perhaps ask your adopters to send updates..I know other rescues, not horse ones, that I know of, do that! Then any extra monies can be for the rescue and not updates..🤷♀️ Hope that helps..

In Roswell, NM, we had that court case trying to end the start-up of a horse slaughter plant. We won! I got a subpoena to the settlement proceedings, and we got them to agree to no longer (ever) try to open one again (not even his former cattle processing plant that he redesigned for horses.) He had horrible USDA violations with the cattle. You might want to expand the topic of adulterated horse meat and what that means. Most people don't understand the topic. I'm afraid, somewhere down the line, the horses that end up in slaughterhouses and then the meat sent over to other countries and people start to get sick from all the Bute and banamine and they throw a huge lawsuit or something at the US. Who knows, maybe that's what it would take to get the US to no longer export horses. 90+% of horses would be considered adulterated.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to see the progress she's made since being adopted.

Horse plus humane, I want to let you know that they are introducing wolves in Colorado and the authorities are also killing the wild horses. All you animal activists please 🙏 put a stop to all of this.

Thank you for letting us know about the error, we appreciate it. She was sold at auction in 2023, and adopted at our shelter in 2024.
Would be nice if there were updates on the adopted horses like every six months or just one time after six months of the adoption date..
Yes l remember when you did intake on her and you tracked back to see where she had been..she sure looks so much better when she was adopted..would love to see how she is looking now but it's fantastic to know she is well and safe..to think that this poor girl was just 4 yrs old and in those few months the buyer from Bowie livestock got her to an appalingly bad shape..her ribs and hips sticking out..her mane all bedraggled and covered in mud..dirt and she looked beaten...ready to give up and oh so sad..Thank you Horse Plus for giving her a second chance at life..God Bless ya'll..🇬🇧💕✝️🙏👏👍🐎🇺🇸

I see so many products/meds that state they shouldn’t be used on animals intended for human consumption. Basic stuff too, like dewormer. Are the consumers of the horse meat unaware of where it comes from? Or are they lied to about the origins of the meat? I’ve wondered about that before.
And the kill pens are not feeding them. She looked good in Texas. By the time you got her , she is skinny.

She look healthy in the auction video looks like law makers would at lest keep them feed well and shelterd would benefit them as well ppl give more money 4 a animal thats healthy and good weight doesn't seem like a smart business move to let your inventory go to shit but what do i know
Yo i got my aqh boy from bowie auction (well he came from it), theres a small local rescue here that mostly goes for the drafts at the auction, actually just rescued 2 today. They gave me my aqh free since we clicked instantly and they where looking to rehome him but just wanted a good home so 🤷
Hey Tawnee (spelled phonetically). I live in Mn. And was shocked when I heard there is a horse slaughter facility in MPLS./st.paul area!!! Would that be 100% illegal??????

Probably, but I think if it's existing ( unfortunate as it is) might be easier on the poor animal that has this awful fate doomed to it!

I’m am so sad to see these horses in such sorry states but at the same time feeling emotional that there are such wonderful people to step in and change Serena’s whole world. Down here where I live, people are breaking into other people’s barns and stealing their horses. It’s happened 3 or 4 times already in the span of 2-3 weeks. The police think it’s the same group of people and they’re looking into it right now. The crime usually goes with something along the lines of They break the chain link fence, make it big enough for the horses, take a few, lead them somewhere else, and kill them there for their meat. The police made the assumption that they are doing it for their meat because of the way they cut the horses. Worse part is that one of my friends is friends with one of the people that got her horses stolen and murdered.

Well done you for finding her such a loving home. Found what you said about her history a bit confusing and hard to follow. Would have liked to understand her route to you a bit better.

I can't understand how or why people eat horse meat. It makes me sick do these countries tell there customers that it's horse meat or do they keep it a secret ??
