As a follower of Nordjælland this is going to be really interesting. They have already shown how they can develop playing talent such as Kudus, Kamaldeen, Nuamah etc.. so this will be the first time one of their managers come into the mainstream and for quite a big job too

Like the vast majority of Norwich fans I've never seen Nordjælland play and ever since Thorup was announced we've only heard positive things about him. But no coach and system are perfect, particularly with a coach that's attainable for a Championship club so I'm interested to hear if you can point out any negatives about Thorup and his style of play just so I can get a better understanding of what we're in for? Thanks.

@@olicrook4292 honestly its hard to say for exact because Nordjællands style is very attacking and high energy and they play quite direct to the wings to create chances with their excellent 1 v 1 wingers like Schelderup but that is down to the philosophy of the club rather than Thorup himself. Rn your squad doesn't really resemble the Nordjælland squad very much so don't expect him to get you there straight away also if you lose players like Sara or Sargent that will only slow the process down even more. If the club are patient though and keep him around for 2/3 years and rebuild the squad correctly you should be up there and playing a similar attacking style like you did under Farke

@@mellowfellow4956 Thanks. I guess direct to the wings with good dribblers is the difference, under Farke it was all central through balls and we didn't ever play with wingers. It was also rarely ever direct until a clever player saw some space and played a ball through the opposition defence. So I'm thinking similar to Farke up until the final third but faster and with more wingplay in attacking areas. Appreciate the input!

I think you've summed it up well across your comments. It's probably not a better short term solution, but could be gold in the long term. The key in thee Championship is getting that crucial, unheard of word though... TIME!
