- I am working on a new video which will take some time to finish. While experimenting I got seriously distracted by Strega again. Like it or not, here's another video about the Witch. I ran the sub output into the pre-amp and turned down the pitch to a decent BPM for techno, which is about 125.5 in this session. I pushed the pre-amp and output as far as I could, dialed in the delay into a rumble and ended with a mean, dark, menacing techno beat.
At some point I got a steady pulse and produced two more takes around it. I added a screaming drone, a super simple 125.5 drum loop from a VST and some basement reverb. It's probably one of the heaviest industrial tracks I ever made.
1st pic/clip looked like a little Random Friday-ish
I like ur videos!
Absolutely Super!
Excellent !
Awesome result!! ❤ Also a very interesting format that you use for sharing knowledge… valuable and helpful, much appreciated 🙏🏻 Nice fact on the ‘mud’, which I guess also occurs when adding a stereo reverb or other effect to a mono signal?
As a general rule of thumb, you'd need to make anything below a certain threshold mono. Often
👍Nice !

The grey knobs make it 300% more evil!
Which witch? Where Wolf? Really enjoyed that bro. Thanks. 🎛🎚👍
The techno sub-genre is called "Strechno." You're welcome! ;)
Amazing!
❤
Sega's Sub is WAY lower than one octave. Try three or four. I don't know the exact number, but it's way more than usual.
Killer stuff, even though my headphones really couldn't pick up the low rumble. 👍
I am sure you're right. I remember telling myself I needed to check that when I wrote that. But I forgot and published....
@@CinematicLaboratory It's also extremely spiky, and doesn't have a continuous wave form. It changes over the frequency range. It's VERY weird.
nice, but for most of the video i wondered how it would sound if you added a nice fat kickfrom from the 0-coast.
That's a cool idea. Strega's sub out into Clock, Clock to Contour trigger, contour to Pitch, 0-Coast multed to Strega's external input. I'll give it a try :).
Yes, I have sub that goes to 30Hz. (I have a sub that goes to 17Hz upstairs) For this, I had to break out the Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro headphones. There really isn't anything that will reproduce 10-12Hz, but that's really jackhammer or earthquake territory. Strega is a great, you should use it with the Labyrinth.
Like in this video I experimented with the Shumann 7.83 Hz frequency which is supposed to be earth rumble. If I am not mistaken, a church organ can do 20 Hz with genuine air pressure. However, I love the illusion of low end with making ticks with 100 msec triggers and adding a lot of verb with high frequencies turned down. Labyrinth will definitely be back with some friends :).
