I miss my old demagntitizing cassette from Radio Shack. No tape strip in it. Just a head in the middle of it . you would just put the cassette in, press play and a little light would come on when the job was done.
It's a good alternative to other demagnetizer cassettes which are much more expensive. Yes, it's a very easy handling and i also want to be on the safe side. For wet cleaning i would prefer the cleaning by myself with Isopropanol alcohol. I will order this cleaning tape mainly for demagnetizing my Pioneer tape deck. Thanks for your presentation!!!
Does this help with walkman magnetic interference? I go out with my Sony almost daily but whenever I'm in a busy district I find my walkman making an abysmal hiss and high pitch whine noise, so would demagnetising it benefit?
I am probably late but yes, a magnetized head picks up noise worse and being in a really magnetic are will magnetize your head. So get one of these to use like, once a month and the cleaning fluid is isopropyl alcohol if you run out.
I got this before I found a real demagnetizer it might work somewhat okay on the heads, but you also need to demagnetize the other parts, not only the heads So if you can fine a real device I would go with it and avoid this The cleaning is not the best either atleast in my experience

Weird. I have a Kenwood 4080 twin deck and tried that exact head cleaner brand and model on my deck - and the doors wouldn't close. The cleaner is just over a millimetre thicker than a standard tape and will not fit. Got a refund...
I bought exactly the same cassette as you showed. Made it exactly the same way. My indignation knew no bounds. This muck left behind so much white fluff that I had to disassemble the tape drive system and wash and clean everything. After all, this fluff will get on the tape and will be there forever. Advice, don't buy this crap. Cotton swabs and alcohol. Nothing needs to be invented. Of course, you have no complaints. Maybe it's just me that got it. Check yours.
Any demagnetizer that has that spinning starlight mint in the center will damage the data on any tape it gets too close to, plus it's only meant for non-auto reverse tape decks, and if you accidentally play the tape in the wrong direction, you make it worse. Conclusion: CHEAP SHIT!
Damn!! that model is very similar to my dad's tape deck he used when I was a child! Good times

Maybe that old cleaner is better than the new ones? No tape strip to fool with sounds good, anyway.

Thanks for the product tip. I think that if you had linked to Amazon for the product, you would have helped sell a lot of them!
So how long should I let it run? I'm using it on my grandfather's old car. And it's been running 5 minutes so far...
can ı use printer head cleaner for tape head and pinch roller?
Soldering gun demagnetizes my crt. might try it on my decks now !
My Tape Head Also Silent..
Can It Clean And Head Wall Work After Clean

Would demagnitizing help with slow motioned sound ?. Or does that mean my tape deck needs a new belt replacement?
Slow playback would be caused by bad belts or some other mechanical problem.
I got this before I found a real demagnetizer

If I flip it over and press play to reverse it, does it still work? Mine won't auto reverse
It won't hurt, but if your deck only plays in one direction then you probably don't need to play the other side.
I live in Córdoba Spain ,could I buy it here and where if possibly let me know .

Amazon?
man that's awesome , do you have any link where we can order this ?
Amazon or reverb
1 minute Video in to 10 minutes without and results, nice
I clean the pinch roller and tape heads with a cotton bud, Will the tape Demagnetizer work, without the drops of cleaning liquid in the cassette?
Yes the magnet will spin and demagnetize the heads regardless if you add the liquid.
@@BrettDarien Thank you for the reply.
Did you notice any difference in high frequency improvement?
Not really, but you might if your playback head is very magnetized. Mine may not of been.
@@BrettDarien probably is, they never did it, i got it used, its from 1980 loll
Use light
What is that liquid pour into the tape?
It's probably just Isopropyl alcohol.

Did you remove the rubber piece connecting the reels? 4:45
@@donny303 Yep, indeed I did. Maybe mine had a manufacturing fault or something

Had the same problem with it, left behind tons of fuzz that I had to clean out

no entendi nada por eso te pregunto sirve o no??
Si sirve, pero asegurese que el producto pueda limpiar Y desimantar la cabeza de cinta. Sino, de nada le sirve.
At the start of the clip he sounds a lot like The Professor John I.Q. Nerdelbaum Frink Jr from the simpsons
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, it leaves fibers of fabric all over the tape mechanism, super tedious and would be better to clean your deck by hand.
uh there is no fabric in the tape? where does the fabric comes from?
