The 3rd effect is based on Aqua's ability of reading the opponent's heart, to tell if they are saying the truth or not. I guess they tried to adapt it as close as they could
It's good 1-card combo in Marincess, because it also can chainblock Marincess link-1 monsters, so you wouldn't get Ash Blossom and some other handtraps.
I didn't give this card much thought when I saw that it summoned itself once per duel. Now I'm realizing it's a searchable one-of extender that can give you some nutty advantages.
@MegaCapitalG I would say that is because Aqua dolphin ripped a card and there was a plethera of decks, throughout the years, that could easily make Isolde. Outside of Marincess and maybe Trickstar, this card shouldn't see play. And even if it does, it doesn't rip a card. Because of Marincess ability to wombo combo with one or two cards, it will definitely make that specific deck much better.
Card is unbelievably mid. It does nothing to help you especially if your opponent has no facedown cards and a bunch of handtraps in hand that basically says "you cant play" kekw
Cap isn't talking about the XYZ retrains and the the Enemy Controller Duel Monster, that's too many cards for one video. Let's talk about the Light Waifu's water monster that can Eye of Truth your opponent's cards so we know what to snipe on their Draw Phase after we set the Spiritual Water Art on our turn💧 If the light Legendary Duelists set comes out this summer, this card will be limited come winter, watch.
A bit of ranting despite the fact that Trickstars/Marincess got a good card. By looking at all the support recently, I just realized that Konami dropped the ball hard on certain VRAINS archetypes, like, for example, Gouki and Dinowrestlers. Gouki after ETCO literally vanished with 1 Link and 1 Spell, that's it. Dinowrestlers get trash support all the time; the only good card is Pankratops, while Trickstars and Marincess constantly get new stuff that's super good and cracked. I'll forgive Code/Firewall support because the Cyberse Type needs it, but why the heck does Salamangreat have more cards than Gouki and Dinowrestlers combined? I mean, at this point, I just feel like Konami gave up on those 2 specifically. And ETCO was what? Last year, 2 years ago?
Shit take, I hope more "shitty" archetypes get cards that look at the opponents hand if hand traps are going to be so dominate for the years to come. I want to know if I can or cannot avoid the handtraps before getting dream crushed by nibiru imperm ash and 2 starters. The decks that should get cards like this are exactly stuff like trickstar and marincess. Decks that are like tier 2.5 or worse. Snake eye dont need these, but bad decks do.
Cool to see you covering cards again, especially this beauty! Understand with time it gets harder to cover every Yu-Gi-Oh card but i appreciate your coverage, none the less!
I do admidt CapG, i have missed the days of you making card reviuws, because to me, you were the one i would watch card revius on the most, no one could make me understand what adwanteges there was to the new cards, and what disadwanteges they had.
It's basically a one card link 2. It's good, BUT I feel people overrates looking the opponent's card while also undervaluing selective discard the card lacks. The link marincess are very xenophobic as well, demanding a spell who only works on marincess or a marincess monster in grave, while the link 1 trickstar straight up cannot be done with aqua angel, so the card is effectively locked into 2 rogue archetypes. Also, the card is a trickstar, not a marincess, so it lacks searchability on the archetype it would be an extender for, while also being a bad extender for the archetype it can search her; as a reminder Tour Guide is not seeing play right now and is a free link 2 as well, as well as a free rank 3. All in all, it seems like the kind of card that makes me realize how awful YGO players are at evaluating power, it won't see any play because it's not enough to make either trickstar or marincess good, and you'll look like bufoons AGAIN.
I’m sorry, I don’t see what everyone else is seeing. It feels like everyone is ignoring that big fat once per duel on both the hand & set reveal (fair & reasonable) AND the special summon.
The reason BOTH the summon and reveal effects are once per duel and not just the reveal effect is because they DON'T want you running 3... hand revealing is that strong.
initially i thought this wasn´t that good, trickstarr and marincess both have enough extenders, they don´t dump cards and can´t really make use of the hand knowledge to change their end boards to counter the opponent. Relying on the hand knowledge to decide what should be negated in the next turn makes you vulnerable to the opponents to deck and good hand knowledge cards are usually good because they come with a hand rip effect included. then i realized that this card has no restrictions or locks on it, meaning that you can play this in any deck as a normal summon to bring out a marincess link 1 and bring it back to go plus 1 without locking yourself in to anything or playing any bricks in the deck. If you want to take it further you can search a marincess monster reborn with the link 1, that only locks you in to water, and then go in to a marincess link two, that lets you reborn a marincess again and adds the monster reborn back to your hand when it leaves the field. This means you can go +2 on field in any water deck.
It's great tho not crazy. I feel like even with the hand and field knowledge it may not matter since the current meta decks are so strong rn Also, anyone trying to play this outside of the archetype is asking to brick lol
It's due to the fact It's an extender that lets you gain knowledge about what your opponent is playing to either avoid hand traps or set up counters to what they're playing.
The 3rd effect is based on Aqua's ability of reading the opponent's heart, to tell if they are saying the truth or not. I guess they tried to adapt it as close as they could

Ah yes, a searchable 1 of that is practically useless once you summon it by its own effect, with a mid as f*%< effect. Its garbage. Stop coping
@@delllee4915 you're undervaluing hand knowledge. But, you do you.
If Aqua dolphin never got banned at Isoldes peak, I think this card will be fine.

Looks like a pretty solid card. Being able to check for hand traps is amazing. I might have to try using trickstars again.
They really snuck in an 8th Marincess card in these Duelist Packs. 7 in the Water one and another in the Light.

I miss your analysis on new card prereleases
having a tough time knowing if this is a 1 of or 3’s. i think it would be be two because marincess have ways to dump marincess cards to grave
Card alone is full Marincess combo, even if it is once per duel. I'm thinking either 3 off or 2 + 1 Mandarin.
Damn time to get my Marincess Core back

In marincess it’s a one card combo. In trickstar I’m not to sure
I’m less mad about that effect and more mad that this is much much better in marincess than it’ll ever be in trickstars when it’s a trickstar set
I just wished the first effect wasn't once per duel.
I wish Aoi & Go were Lost Incident children from the start.
@@thatman666 yup. The Lost Incident kids didn't really do much aside from Playmaker and Soulburner.
Wait this is supposed to be a LIGHT pack but this is a WATER!!!

I was hoping my Marincess girls were getting support soon

Probably

U can just normal summon this, make the link 1, look at their hand. Bonkers. Then bring it back and keep comboing. This is spinny on crack.
Any deck that doesn't care about normal summoning can play her and make almiraj to look at your opponents hand 😉
I still disappointed that Luna got rejected for having support and she's among the worst female duelists out there.
Kotori says hi.
