    Whether you’re lapping the park, lining up for your first DH race or pedalling to the gnarliest trail in town, the only thing stopping this Chainsaw are its brakes. The aluminum frame is made in Canada and guaranteed for life. It’s compatible with mixed wheels, single and dual crown forks. And it can handle any trail you throw at it.

    Devinci was my favorite brand when I was a teenager, I got to have a Frantik with an enduro setup. The bike was spectacular both functionally and aesthetically. This Chainsaw enduro looks very good, but I still think that with the Spartan they hit the nail on the head in terms of beauty.

    As a smaller rider I'm also extremely disappointed that Devinci has completely moved away from the 27.5 wheel size option. at least give us a bike that is properly designed for a full 29er or mullet option.

    • @ostankovalex1176
      @ostankovalex1176 Год назад +5

      it is, there is a flip chip that changes geo from 29 to mullet
      basically, you can run a rear 27.5 and a dual crown 27.5

    • @dutchieforshner5896
      @dutchieforshner5896 Год назад

      @@ostankovalex1176 oh shoot, that is my bad then, I must have missed that in the bikes specs and geos. So if that is the case is it possible to make the Enduro version a mullet/full 27.5 or is it better to make the DH version into a Mullet/full 27.5 Enduro bike with an 11 or 12 speed drivetrain?

    • @ostankovalex1176
      @ostankovalex1176 Год назад

      @@dutchieforshner5896 the difference in Axle to Crown between a dual crown 27.5 and a single crown 29 is about 3 cm (2.5cm if it is a 38 stanchion fork)
      Basically: 170 29 single crown ~ 200 27.5 dual crown
      So you have 2 options:
      get an enduro version + add a dual crown 27.5 (should almost have the identical GEO), maybe a little 0.5 angle change.
      The second option is to simply put a 27.5 wheel in the 29 dual crown park build.
      Both are fine and highly depend on your finances.
      I guess the simplest/cheapest one is to get a park version and to install 2x 27.5 wheels.

    I used to love Devinci Bikes. Had a 2014 & 2018 Spartan. Unfortunately the 2018 came with a ton of frame and linkage issues. Went through warranty and the issue was never fully resolved. Rear triangle would move side to side so much, it would eat bearings, make a racket and killed the drivetrain prematurely. Really sucks when you spend a good chunk of money on bikes these days. Really wanted to support them, but I am now way happier with my new bike and brand. Hope they work out their issues.

      The Chainsaw is definitely on the slacker side of things. That said, on the full 29er Enduro configuration, you can steepen the HA by flipping the flip-chip to the HI mode and run 63.4 HA. It also raise the BB and add a few mm to the reach.

    • @SsmAnyfeSt
      @SsmAnyfeSt Год назад

      @@CyclesDevinci and then put a 1degre angleset (64.4 on 29er setup) so it becomes ridable everywhere like the guy would like (and me). Lol It will slacken the seattube angle a bit but will still be way steeper than on the spartan. The best would still be to just updatr the spartan with the muĺlet setup and a bit steeper seattube (keep everything else as is) and it would be my dream bike!! 😊
