Checking ID at the door would end shoplifting. It would also deter regular customers. In person shopping is dying anyway.

No matter what preventive measures you put in place, people will always figure out a way to circumvent it.

defund the police? this is what you get. you get exactly what you voted for.

The weren't stopping them before. Growing up my mom called the cops all the time, no one went to jail but they never missed a traffic ticket or parking violation. Plenty went to jail for unpaid parking, but you could shoot up the neighbors car and get away with it. That's why we want the police defunded. They're useless, criminal, and dangerous.

Many of these companies can hire off duty officers or veterans that are military trained to work as security in the very front of the stores. They can lock these doors when the thieves rush in...a lot of these businesses don't use common sense and lock the doors. Kind of hard to steal items out the store when there's a major lock on the door.

None of that tech is going to do any good .
You don't give physical access to goods, plain and simple. 👮‍♂
Entry should be limited to card carrying members that have to fob in through a turnstile like system which limits physical access.
Else , use an app to make an order that can be picked up at an area that is modeled after a check cashing place.

This means that thieves will wait outside the store and rob honest customers.

Retailers don't care about keep prices down for consumers. Also I watch a video of girl who filmed herself stealing so
thieves dont care about getting caught either

Why didn't just close entry and exit doors , hire some security guard at doors. In my country exit door only opened when you pay , cashiers open doors even after that security guard still check and match our cash receipt and goods..

Why don't they have physically capable security guards in big stores? It's America: they should also be armed. They should have extreme prejudice like in Lidl.

If you do this kind of stuff then it should be done covertly. If not then store Staff and Security Staff, should have Free Reign to protect their Stores Goods. It's the only thing that makes sense (Common Sense)...! 🤔🤔

Thx... but more so, thanks to the far left prosecutors (like Gascon, Bragg, Foxx, Boudine, Willis, etc ) the political climate, and defending yourself and property from vicious thugs, is to them a bigger crime, than their criminality with impunity being inflicted upon society.

Make stuff cheaper and people wouldn't be in this situation. I need to spend more than my mortgage in groceries per month for my family. Now if your stealing purses than this is your fault
