    I returned from the fish market with 6 large herrings without having given it a thought about the bones... I was thinking that I had made a huge mistake.

    I guess its better to work it when its room temperature, as compared to chilled on ice.

      Yes, it's better worked when isn't frozen, but it's room or fridge temperature.
