expedition to the SVARTISEN GLACIER | Norway 2021

In today's video I would like to show you a report of our trip to the Svartisen glacier. I also want to show how much the glacier has changed over 10 years. It is the second largest glacier in Norway. Its area is 369 km². Although it consists of 2 masses of ice:
Vestre Svartisen ("western Svartisen") has an area of 221 km², making it the second largest glacier on the Norwegian continent after the Jostedalsbreen glacier.
Østre Svartisen ("eastern Svartisen") has an area of 148 km², making it the fourth largest glacier in the country.
