    I have to say that this is life-changing for INFPs who may have lost their way and have been influenced by others to not be themselves. Thank you!!!!

    This video and Anya Taylor-Joy knocked something loose for me. I couldn't reconcile two INFP concepts -- I think of INFPs as people who are deep in their headspace. But there's the INFP stereotype of the 'manic pixie dream girl' (guy?), who externalizes bizarre fashion and unusual behaviors. I'm used to ISFPs being focused on physical aesthetics, though it's a different vibe... more self-aware of reality I guess?
    Anyway, you helped make what I think is the connection. All are creating an environment for themselves that's some sort of mental/physical/spiritual headspace, to serve as their model for, or sanctuary from, the real world. Some will do it with clothes and mementos. Others may look to books and ideas. Not only book authors are world builders... :) Thank you for this interesting perspective.

      Yes! This is what we have always theorized too. Tolkien is a man of his time and his INFP comes out in his world building in his books, rather than his aesthetic, which certainly would not be acceptable in his time, if he even would have chosen to express himself in such a way. To be honest, during his time, there wasn't really much of a subcultural scene in England. -Chris

    I love Florence. She's looks like an extraterrestrial being. I love the way she talks and sings about feeling, experiences and she is so inspiring.
    I don't know my tipe. I used to see myself as infp but I have no authenticity as Fi do.
    Sorry my english. I'm from Brazil.

      As an Fi type myself, I find the complete authority of the Fi in Florence to be fascinating. I relate to it 100% in terms of self-clarity and introspection, but I just can't come to terms with the influence it has over everything she does. For me, everything is so thought out in my head, a complete narrative. My feeling just does not pull me in the same way, it is more of a guiding or evaluating force. Thanks so much for giving your perspective!

    I'm an INFP and I've never really thought I'm good at interior decorating, lol. I do relate to her a lot either way. I can see somewhat my place being like a scrapbook, though. Idk, maybe it's the ADHD (for me) 😆.

    What's the name of the INFP interior decorator blogger?

    Hi, my apologies if you've already discussed this somewhere else....but do you use multiple sources to type people, or is it that only one video that your typing videos follow? If that's indeed the case, how could you be confident about what type that person is. Isn't one video too little information?

    • @typebook
      @typebook  Год назад +1

      Yes, we use multiple sources, usually over several months of intuiting on the person. That isn't always the case though, sometimes we can type someone in minutes from using just one source. We always return at some point though. This particular typing was originally typed around a year ago now, but only just recorded today. It's a strange process to try and explain because it is a very intuitive process where patterns, people and behaviours often link up in our minds. As a result of typing for years and sharing our intuitions with each other, we have collected a huge catalogue of patterns and have corrected ourselves as we have gone.

      @@typebook Yes, it definitely seems that the intuitive repository created through years of experience can make one type some people in minutes if not seconds. I do understand, i think what you mean by that intuitive process. And thank you for your explanation. Your videos are a great resource btw.
