People complained that Feargal didn't contribute much, but what he said about this conflict, by bringing it home and talking about the peace in Northern Ireland was very important. Sure, nice speech, but you're not getting peace there until you recognise the cause of conflict is Israel and the west stops supporting and arming it and forces it to stop doing what it's been doing for 70 years. In Northern Ireland there's no government because the Unionists refuse to accept democracy. What's the UK government doing about that? Nothing.

Wow, I'm impressed, Jo Brand pronounced the name of President Petr Pavel well! It was the celebration of 105th independence anniversary from Austria-Hungary. All Czech presidents have had quirks that became their "trademarks" and would fit into HIGNFY very well. One used to steal pens by mistake, another loved yellow rubber boats. First, he didn't steal the joke. She didn't make the crossing the road joke. Either, 1) she was too slow with her delivery (poor trade craft) or 2) all she had was "Why?" (fuzzy comedic instinct). Either case would mean Paul saved the day.

Unlike with Ukraine where the cause is pretty clear and it's easy to get aid and kits there (I've just donated money for a specialized vehicle and night vision drones), common Europeans are more or less powerless when it comes to Israel and Palestine. The situation is so hopeless that IMHO most people in the audience needed at least an image of peace, even though it doesn't mean much and it's easy to say.
