One could argue that his career never really recovered. Not this race in general but this 2002 season for Pat Patrick (where he seemed to be on the verge of getting fired after about 4 races) was a disaster for Townsend and he never got a proper full time ride in AOWR afterwards
This is my first time seeing this race, but I have to say I'm not impressed. Way too much drama and not enough focus on the racing in my opinion. It probably would have been nicer to watch in person I'm sure.
Probably you fall in love with this cars, the engine sound live is too loud, when the driver made a gear change the turbo blows and listen very loud. Absolutely lovely 😍
