The European Tour returns to Wentworth Club for the 2020 BMW PGA Championship - the third Rolex Series event of the reshaped 2020 season. I love the hoodie personally. Something about it...casual and comfy but for whatever reason it still strikes me as classy. Golfers are proper athletes now, so it feels pretty fitting to me

Finally I am no longer the only one with hoodie shirt or pullover on the course :-) However, sometimes the hood slaps into the face after release, which is sort of annoying...
Was Tyrrell’s ball moving on 16, after he placed it on Friday, ever addressed? It clearly moved as he stepped away to get a club. The announcers didn’t say anything and it was obvious that it had moved.
I noticed that but no one ever mentioned it

Friday’s round. 16th hole he came up just short of the green but still in fairway cut. Lift, clean and place. He sets the ball down and as he turns to get a club, the ball rotates out of its position. What’s odd is he and his caddie immediately looked over at the ball. And my thought was the caddie must have seen it move. But apparently not. And the announcers said nothing.
Tim C he almost pressed his foot into the ground which made the ball move . He definitely noticed it himself

I believe that interviewing various players (by Tim Barter) during the round should not be allowed. That should be done before or preferably after the round. I noticed quite a few of the players bogeying a hole after being interviewed. I don’t recall any sport where a journalist or reporter talking to professional sportsmen or women during competition, unless it’s absolutely necessary. Never used to happen on the European tour.

1:20 it's a bit annoying how that commentator is minimizing every single shot. That is a 242 yards shot, landed around 15 feet and his reaction is : "That's fine". That's not fine, that's a heck of shot. Or at 2:22 '"Good shot". That's not a good shot, that's a nearly impossible shot...

Hoodies don't make sense for golf, especially in the wind as it flaps about and that is the last thing you need. With the wind behind you it can actually blow up and over your head during your swing. Imagine how dumb you would need to be to wear a hoodie in the wind while playing golf. The players don't want to wear them either but the clothing sponsors need to flog hoodies to the masses to grow their bottom line and as part of their contracts they have to do their bit to suck money out of dumb people that don't know better. There is a rule in marketing which states that if you can get influencers to wear something, no matter how dumb it is, the masses will follow. I won't be wearing one because, 1. I'm not dumb; and 2. it is just not practical. I don't really mind it from a dress code perspective but it is so obviously a blatant attempt by the sponsors to make more money at the expense of the masses it is laughable and anyone who wears one who is not getting paid to is a sheep. lol.
Well, two things to note, first is that he is sponsored by Adidas to wear their clothing so obviously it is in the interest of Adidas to make more money (Every business is out to make money as far as I am aware), so not sure I understand your point. Second, your point about hoodies not making sense, wind blowing it around etc. again not valid, he's 14 under and looking at the footage the hoodie is not blowing all over the place. He's a professional golf and will wear clothing appropriate for the day, on a windy day he would probably not wear a hoodie. As you say you won't be wearing one because you are not dumb, but wonder what golf clothing you actually wear, no branded stuff ?
Yorkie263 i have no issue with companies trying to make money 💰 but there needs to be some honesty too. Not all companies are trying to help their customers in the long run. Short term gain (greed) has been the demise of many a once great company. Sorry, I don’t buy that hoodies help you in golf. At no point would you actually use it. It is pure fashion over function. And by the way, I own and like hoodies. I just don’t wear them on the golf course. It’s cool though, I get what they are tying to do and yes, people will start buying them to fit in. That’s human nature. It’s also called being a sheep.
Also, you probably play off about 32 and whip out your old man driver on par 3s.
