Alex: "Do you want me to go and get it for you?" Katy: "Yes please. That attaches to a water source." Like, either Alex's favourite joke is to bring contestants hoses unattached to taps, or the overall atmosphere in that house just breaks people into a puddle of suspicion.
I recall seeing him provide a non-attached hose at least once before in a previous season. It only takes one breach of trust before it's gone forever haha

I think this is my favorite ever episode?? Each one of these tasks was SO good and the tray task had me in tears
This was a cracking episode, really funny from start to finish. This one's gonna be a classic.
This show is like 7th grade for me, I fall head over heels in love with someone each time there's a new class. This series I seem to only have eyes for Rose (and, continuing the analogy, I'd like to sit in back of class and make jokes with Ed, because he'd make me seem cooler by association).
This might be the best episode of the entire show, didn't actually realise how many of my favourite moments were all in this one episode!
that was a striking water feature. the dishes struck the counter. striking!
Right on.
15:32-15:45
I don't understand why they felt the need to cut out Alex's song there. Were they afraid that they might offend the mermaid portion of the audience?
Someone else thought copyright issues, but I don't think it's an existing song.
@@caitthecat i think someone said it was too similar to the chorus of ‘chim chim cher-ee’ from mary poppins, which is still a ridiculous reason to copyright it lmao
I love how aggressively Ed tells Alex to “Strap in, you’re a mermaid!”
Is that Ed screaming in excitement at 40:07? I hope it is because that's hilarious. 🤣
Also I like how Rose's terrible noodle throw starts to look almost strategic because her it totally messed up David and Katy's chances of placing.
Thanks for listening to my suggestion on the placement of the adverts! You guys are the best
42:00 "All the people who took the Egg (Ed) Gamble at the beginning..." Alex with the top tier stealth puns
The "quisps" line is genuinely one of the funniest things I've seen in the history of Taskmaster
The difference between Ed and Rose in the alphabet task is just wow, one actually took out things when they seemed wrong and the other just said Dask
A big contrast to the brick stacking stage task and 7 tasks later on lol
Jo's water feature was obviously the most striking. Specifically, it was striking the kitchen counter.
Discovered this show yesterday and I absolutely love it. Been cracking up all day and night 😂
They cut out Ed's water feature song?
"I am a mermaid who lives by the sea,
Why won't some sailors come visit me?"
Edit: Did some digging, and found a reference to a reference about licensing.
Did a little more digging, and found it may be because of the song sounding like the chorus from Mary Poppins Chim-Chimeny.
I was wondering the same! Thank you for your digging
If I had a nickel every time someone pronounced 'crisps' wrongly on Taskmaster, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice
By their powers combined, we get "Qulrisps"
Katy is wonderful. 28:45 is such an amazing and mean joke, love it.
43:25 In series 2-9, in the last few seconds, during celebration, Greg and Alex always did something little extra - jiggling, switching legs in the same time, jumping in the air, making glasses from their fingers, playing trumpets... In this episode Alex we can see that was prepared with a balloon, but got under the influence of Rose's celebration and didn't do his bit.
Good noticing. I wonder if maybe he did go through with it but it just didn't make the final edit because it was better to end on Rose.
19:29
Alex: Hello, Rose
Rose: You remember my name, that’s awesome
Katy: Oh it’s Rose
Quiet moments like this are why I love Katy
Prolly the best episode of the series so far 😂❤️
It matters not how many times I watch Taskmaster -- the short clips or the full shows and series -- they always make me laugh, smile and improve any ill mood that may have overtaken me. Series 9 is one of my favorites! From the sublime (Katy Wix) to the ridiculous (I'm talking to you, David Baddiel), this series is pure pleasure. Ed Gamble is a competitive delight, Jo is a delicious curmudgeon, and Rose is beautifully clever. They all make a truly great panel, playing well into the brilliant hands and minds of Alex Horne and Greg Davies. Thank you for bringing this to the US!!
instead of drinks holders, he could have just said disposable cups.
I wonder if there were dark chocolate chips in there too
Rose's noodle toss on the stage game was perfect: it deflected the 2 remaining eggs throwers and disqualified them. Her rice throw was then perfect
That water feature task reminded me of Rhod Gilbert. Good times. 😂😂
Taskmaster Thursdays have become a ritual now. Thank you ❤️
This isn't only the best thumbnail for this series, but possibly the best thumbnail on RUclips ever.
I am loving Katie more and more with each show
Alex Horne saying "Thank you, Daddy!" has dialed my crush on him up a few notches.
That did, but not his shirt off??
THANK YOU FOR BEGINNING TO MAKE THESE EPISODES VIEWABLE IN THE USA!!!!!
Rose: Is newspaper paper? No, I don't wanna get scolded for not following the rules.
Ed: D(t)ask.
I love how they put a bunch of things around the house for stuff beginning with q in case someone picked it.
