So i have to download the launcher, then the game again to even be able to create a link code. Would've been nice if the devs had informed me about this instead of saying "it works now, go!". Would have been even nicer if the code could've been gotten straight from their homepage, wich is probably the first place for people to look. But well thanks to you now i know. yup, I never uninstalled but I had to re-image my PC and I am finding myself having to download just to transfer it. It's annoying but I think they are making it hard on purpose so less people transfer over. I believe they don't make as much money when people buy things through Steam

quick tip to save some people time. if you have not uninstalled your game you can install the game in like 2minutes on steam. all you have to do is start downloading dark and darker on steam pause(right click it and click open game files) and paste the game files you already have from that point on steam will auto update(if it does not quit steam completely or click uninstall dark and darker and reinstall and it will notice files already exist... good luck

yes you can. There is a few things to know, you must delete all steam characters first and restart the game. Also, if you have ever made any redstone shard purchases on Steam then you can't do the link.

Yes you can, but only if you've never bought any shards on steam. Just keep in mind to use EPIC and buy the shards first to upgrade and then link. Once you link you will "wipe" your character from Steam, so it will be like starting over. No big deal though, there's a wipe soon anyways

Usually a steam page to buy will come up. If that isn't working you can log in on the dark and Darker website and purchase Redstone shards from there. I'm sure it'll give a code to redeem them in game

To uninstall the game click the gear beside the play button in the launcher. To uninstall the launcher you uninstall it just like any other app in windows
I'm not sure what you're asking, but if you link your blacksmith account to steam it will import your characters with their names. You have to delete any steam characters you have so, I'd say no you will not have the steam names
If you bought the game and have blacksmith, play the game in the blacksmith launcher, in options click platform and then get code. Exactly like the video shows. If you don't have the paid version then it doesn't apply for you

There's not "platform" button in my settings at all so you can't link it anymore?
They removed the platform in the last update. I'm not sure if there's a new way to link accounts.
My blacksmith client doesnt show any option for getting links. The only thing that shows up is "link twitch for drops"
They removed the tab for the link feature this season.

The paid account gives legendary status. You get 9 character slots, a shared stash, and access to HR and the Trade.

No, you won't lose them. The only thing that you have to remove is any characters you have on steam. You'll keep everything from blacksmith
