Kanami is so cute and sweet but she has a personality change when she has a guitar in her hands! She suddenly becomes a rock monster! Shredding all before her!
The song playing during their initial introduction/walk-on is called Freezer, from their second album New Beginning. Another great song. Also, keep in mind the interview is from 2016, they were just three years into being Band-Maid.
Kaiten sushi = conveyor belt sushi (sushi train) Wanko Soba = small (REALLY small) bowls of soba noodles Google it, it'll make more sense that way. Miku's name, Kobato, when translated, literally means small pigeon in Japanese. Akane's hat was uncomfortable for her and when Miku changed their outfits again, it went bye bye. For good, unfortunately.
One plate of Kaiten sushi-conveyor belt sushi usually comes in two pieces, so 30 plates is 60 pieces. Since the amount of one bowl of Wanko soba is about 15g, 120 bowls is usually about 9 bowls of soba. Each piece of sushi weighs about 23g on average.

Music Gold Rush is a Japanese television show that features interviews with up-and-coming and/or lesser known (for the most part) musical acts. It has aired since 2014. The two hosts are Shigeo Takahashi and Sayaka Nishikawa. Shigeo is a comedian by trade, but has also dabbled in acting. Sayaka is a singer in the pop-group 9nine, and her sister is a member of one of the most popular J-Pop groups currently active, Perfume. They mention the producer who was "pushing" Band-Maid; his name is Toyokazu Ogata, formerly of the 90's bands Majesty and Craze. He posts videos of him doing cover songs on RUclips, and even has a cover of Thrill he's done. The joke about Oya Shizuka from AKB48 is this: He said that he heard from Oya that she liked bands, too, not just pop music, and that she was starting to watch Music Gold Rush every week. But, he was making that up. He indicated he was joking by imitating Pinocchio's nose growing longer from lying. "Kuruppo" (or "po" for short) is the Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound that a pigeon makes; sort of like "woof" for a dog, or "meow" for a cat. When Shigeo understands what she's saying about her name and being a "pigeon," he begins having a conversation with Miku in pigeon-talk. Miku, without missing a beat, talks right back in "po" speak, which is why everyone laughed. BTW, where this comes from is the kanji for Miku's stage name, Kobato. The kanji is 小鳩; the first character means "small" and the second character means "pigeon." For Akane being the band "leader," that seems to no longer be the case. She has said in more recent interviews that the band has advanced far enough that they collaborate well with each other and they don't really need an individual being in charge anymore. She had also said previously that she was made the leader because she seemed like the most responsible person in the group. Kaitenzushi refers to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. It literally means "revolving sushi." It's a place where chefs in the back are churning out a bunch of small-plate sushi servings and placing them on a conveyor belt that goes by all the booths in the restaurant. Patrons take the ones they want as they go by. You can also order specific plates, if you want, to be tagged for delivery to your location. Typically, the prices of the servings is tiered and indicated by the color of the plate. When it's time to get your bill, they just add up how many plates of each price-point you have to tally up the bill.
Don't forget, Band-Maid's first single off their upcoming album drops on December 2nd! (Although it may be a shortened promo version at first, I'd wait for a full-version MV.) Definitely looking forward to you guys reacting to that. I like the random-thumbnail idea. Might not work, but could also wind up being really cool. Definitely worth trying it out.
A while ago I saw an interview they did in which they were in the back of a Limo. I am sure it was while they were touring the States. During the interview the interviewer asked Akane's about her hat Hat and where had it gone. I am sure Akane said she had been passed the Hat from Misa who originally wore it, she then said Miku had decided she should no longer wear it. When the interviewer asked Miku why she didn't want Akane to wear a hat I am sure Miku said something along the lines of 'because her hair is too beautiful to be hidden/covered'. Akane also said that Miku had decided she should dress like a boy, in shorts and a blouse rather than a dress and when they asked Miku why - she said she thought it was better that way. When you see Akane comfortably thrashing those drums in her flared sleeves you can see Miku's point.

I think that when you've discovered a band as good as B-M, you first search YT for all the videos, then you start to find interviews and that leads to the more obscure videos such as Miku doing travelogs. As to totally random reactions, that sounds fine, that's how I discovered a lot of the Japanese bands I now listen to. Another funny video is the one on a cooking show. As to the small hat, it's now in a vault waiting for the right time to be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
Introvert and shy person is kinda like that. they tend to be silent in front of strangers but can be goofy AF when they around their closest friends/family. among the members, MISA is the most introvert one and Miku is the most extrovert one
Misa is that mysterious sexy dark brunette you see sitting alone sipping on a whiskey at the bar. Approach with caution. I knew you'd like this. Part 2 is even better. Yes this is a stage persona for some of the girls, except Saiki and Misa. They don't like "the act" so much. Miku is the most in character. The second part will go into detail as to how they formed. As for interviews, Japan uses this "comedy" format for many of their artists. BiSH also has these type of interviews. They also have "excursion" videos where they do extracurricular activities and dare videos. There's a lot out there, but you can spend hours searching and watching these videos. (Speaking from experience😁🤣) I know you'd enjoy them, but we're talking long ass videos too, so maybe not exactly made for your channel time wise. They not your typical Rock magazine stoic interviews. They're more "chummy" videos and fun videos. I'd like to see you do them but the length is probably the only thing that will hold you back. Yes, they've toured the US several times. I think I posted on a previous reaction that they played NYC, Dallas, and LA fall of 2019. They played 2 days before (or after, I can't remember) Babymetal in Dallas. Could've seen both on one short road trip. 🤷♂️ Real Existence official. ruclips.net/video/9TkHpvaO09c/видео.html Real Existence live ruclips.net/video/-qQnKILR5u0/видео.html And yes, that was a goat scream.

Kaiten zushi is conveyor belt sushi. Each plate has a fixed price of $1 to $5. Like two pieces of nigiri or 4 roll pieces per plate. So 30 plates would add up,.
Why haven’t you been asked to wAtch Real Existence? Because they have 92 songs (Soon to be 105). By the way I highly recommend the 2018 LIVE version of Real Existence. It’s sooooo much better than the MV. ruclips.net/video/-qQnKILR5u0/видео.html Miku is really the only one who is always composed during interviews. Saiki and MISA hate interviews... but when it’s just the girls themselves, they can totally be themselves.
Saiki used to really be uncomfortable with showing her teeth and tried her darndest to not smile or laugh. While she’s still less than happy she has gotten better about that so now she’s much more comfortable in interviews. MISA is just really uncomfortable around people she doesn’t know.
Been following them closely for seven years. Sure they are a bit more giggly and assertive during interviews. But their behavior, stories and comments are surprisingly consistent throughout all venues. It's because they're genuine, and except for Miku and Saiki (which has been changing over the years) true musicians. However, id say Miku and Kanami are the most creative and Saiki, besides being a phenom vocalist, a gifted stylist in spite of being a pragmatist. I won't even get into MISA. One could write a book about the girls.
I told you after you watch Real Existence and Don't Let Me Down you can listen to your New Beginning cd. You will like me and live. Akane's hat was taken away for her costume change. There is a interview of them by an American podcast in English with a translator. Yes they have toured in America and will again. Reallality Check TV is the name.
It hasn't gotten funny yet ... ... and here's another good interview: ruclips.net/video/SltjaoNBlbY/видео.html Also, in Part 2 of Gold Rush you'll hear a reference to "Croatian" something. It's a translation error, it should be "Assassin".
