Just in case you didn't know! Yon can heat the floors of your room. It's 'on-dole' which means that the floor can heat up. There should be a switch to higher the temperature of the rooms(floor).
Ooh I thought I was just changing the room temperature but that would make so much more sense about why my floor is also getting hotter!! Thanks for the heads up :)
This.Is. Me. And for extra tips lol.. Koreans all take off their shoes when they enter a home so if you keep the floor nice and warm with your shoes off, than you might not want to leave your room ;)
Thanks much for sharing your olympic video. I wondered why I couldn't hear Australian accent from you. Now, I figure out you are from Canada, lol. I would keep watching your viedo and cheer your skeleton team. Thanks again.
hey, I told you the 100% truth from the bottom of my heart XD. I knew the purpose of that place because I am Korean, living in South Korea, and I got exact same thing in my restroom ;) It is easy to find that kind of stuff in Korean houses.
I hope you having a great time in 평창 ^^ All koreans greeting new athletes guest !!! I wish you have a great records this olympic games ☺☺ haha Make a happy memories in 평창 !! I cheering you - Sincerely one of your Korean Fan ^^ -
came here after seeing the state of Tokyo Olympics. I dont know you as an athlete but I hope you showed all you prepared and had no regrets. Floors are linolium a bit like hard cork. Sometimes when I drop glass on the floor they don't break. But dw they're durable
Let me explain :) I am Canadian and was asked to Coach your great country at the Olympics. And I have to say that you guys welcomed me into the team amazingly! It was an honour to represent Australia
No disrespect...your stay??? It's not bad....not bad at all. You are just not used to cold weather. You are not used to seeing snow...if at all. Let me tell you....they almost usually come when it's really cold. If your accommodation is really small, understand they are just temporary. Enjoy your stay in Korea.....it is what it is!
Well thank you very much!! I want to say that I very much enjoyed my time in South Korea! And when you coach a winter sport you get used to the cold haha I had an amazing time and wouldn’t change it for anything!!!!
your rooms are incredibly cold but you are wearing short sleeve t-shirt in the room? haha. why don't you turn on the heating. You are in the WINTER Olympics dude. enjoy!
My name is Rob and I am a skeleton coach from Canada who tours and vlogs about it. And right now I am coaching Australia at the Olympics in PyeongChang and sharing it with everyone :) Thanks for watching and commenting!
Cool tour! I finally moved too! I put up an empty apartment tour video :) Check it out and let me know what you think? Spoiler alert: My place is not as pretty as yours :P
That's quite a crappy and unfinished apartment they let you stayed in. So much for the Korean 'hospitality' when they've covered the whole kitchen with plastic boards and prevented you from using it.
That’s correct. The kitchens were all covered and not allowed to be used. That was how the Pyeongchang Olympics were done. The Tokyo games might be different but the majority of the athletes village apartments are already sold to the public so they don’t want any damage done to them. The IOC won’t help repair anything so all extra costs would have to be paid by Japan
The Olympics always leave a huge debt to the host country. Where you can save money, you should save money. The apartments where the players stayed in Pyeongchang are all sold to the public and now Korean people live there. In addition, the furniture and electronics used by the athletes and the vehicles used in the Olympics were sold to the public at a low price. Disabling some of the facilities inside the athletes' apartment is part of an effort to cut costs. You can also prevent fires by disabling the kitchen. However, if the athletes wanted to eat at night, a 24-hour restaurant was available. Pyeongchang Olympics strived to strike a balance between convenience, safety for athletes and cost savings.
You need to see what's going on in the Tokyo Olympics sports village. No refrigerators or TV, unless you ask for them, AND you gotta pay for them. LOL wtf Along with horrible stifling heat humid weather, Fukushima sourced foods, etc... swimmers swimming in dung sewage ocean... total nightmare
Welcome to korea!! Good luck & Have a nice olympic
Thank you!! It is great to be back :) I love Korea!

Why cant you use the sink?
They have everything locked off because all these apartments are sold and they don't want anything to get wrecked
exactly!! these apt are sold by korean people and they are already paid at " 260 million" by Discount price!!! because used!
No disrespect...your stay??? It's not bad....not bad at all. You are just not used to cold weather. You are not used to seeing snow...if at all. Let me tell you....they almost usually come when it's really cold. If your accommodation is really small, understand they are just temporary. Enjoy your stay in Korea.....it is what it is!
because of an Ondol system, room of korea in winter is so warm that people can wear short sleeves.
Okay... its kinda sad that everywhere you stayed was freezing cold. Was your room freezing as well? In that case, we're sorry 😭
Well thank you very much!! I want to say that I very much enjoyed my time in South Korea! And when you coach a winter sport you get used to the cold haha I had an amazing time and wouldn’t change it for anything!!!!
@@roberhart great thing to hear! Thank you ☺
your camera is not working becuz korea is too cold? wow.
dltmdwnfkdldjs yeah, it's freezing in Korea.. because of the cold wave.
When i was in amsterdam in the early april it was just 0~3°c or so and my camera didn't work. Cameras are too weak in cold.
your rooms are incredibly cold but you are wearing short sleeve t-shirt in the room? haha. why don't you turn on the heating. You are in the WINTER Olympics dude. enjoy!
the bathroom thing.... that's pushpopshelf for your cellphone

So they plan on tearing down the place later on? 🤔 Why not keep it up and make them actual hotels?
They have actually already sold a lot of these apartments. They are all for sale!
This.Is. Me. Oh, I see. Cool! Cuz I was thinking that would be such a waste. They look like pretty nice places to live in. 😊
Cool tour!
I finally moved too!
I put up an empty apartment tour video :)
