Sony ULT Wear or Scullcandy Crusher ANC 2...

- this video could have been very detailed if I wanted it to be but I felt the need as always to just go at like I always do. long story short the Sonys crushed Scullcandy with these on so many levels but that's not to say the crushers aren't good, there actually good for sensory bass if that's how you like it but for all the shortcomings like ANC which that's what they are claiming also is borderline non existent which is the complete opposite for the Sonys which are great and that goes for Transparency or hear through as well with both headphones. The Sony ULT are my new Dailies and it's not even close at the moment until something else comes out and I can compare whatever it is to them.

Yo man, I'm glad I ran across your video, this is _EXACTLY_ the comparison I needed. I was tempted to get the Crusher since it's on sale, but I've been using Sony Headphones for many years now and they haven't disappointed me yet, and the ULT WEAR had been calling my name since it was released, HAS to be a sign. Man Im glad I could help your decision and glad you left this comment, dude I'm a complete headphone junkie and I didn't even know it 😂, I literally just ordered the Sony xb910 to compare them to the ULT Wear headphones because I already had the xb900n and they are good, and as much as I love the crushers it's not pure bass, I actually have the Astro a30 headphones which are very good with bass also and I didn't expect that also as well as the Yamaha e700a but the ULT Wear are just kicking butt and taking names right now and I'm hear for it.

Had both. Returned the Crusher ANC 2. The difference in sound quality between them and the ULT is big. There’s so much more clarity to the ULT. Plus they are lighter weight. More comfortable. Better noise cancelling. Real bass.
The only thing the Crusher has over the Sony is that vibrating fake bass gimmick. If you absolutely need that, then get the Skullcandy. If you want to hear your music properly, get the Sony.
Sony is much worth it than skull candy ? Because im looking to wear it for the gym but dont know to choose im probably leaning to Sony more but what do you think
I say get them, they have held up so far very well with me, I have been wearing them at a steel mill since Monday in Mississippi, so they are holding up well with all the sweating, I say go for the Sony, I am extremely pleased with these headphones, I'm actually rocking them as i send this message listening to other reviews, everyone has there own perspective but me personally I love these bad boys and I want to get the other xb910s to see how they sound against them.

These work great with movies and TV shows, I just watched the rebel moon part 2 movie and the sound was incredible and the battle scenes sound epic!!!

The sonys sound great to me but only issue I’ve found is a weird leather creaking in the right ear cup. I think it might just be my ear size, would love to see some replaceable ear cups be sold eventually. A cloth material may get rid of that sound completely

Have you tried the skullcandy evos with a headphone amp? big difference...ex. ifi hip dac 2 or 3, fiio brt5...i don't know about the sonys since i haven't heard them...but with an amp...rumble in your ears
I haven't tried it yet but I will see how this works out for me very soon... Which dac do you recommend out of the 3 works best?
@@RJ_Uploads the hip DAC has more power, has a nice bass boost that doesn't sound muddy, I don't really use it on the Evo due to it being a bass savage already. The Btr5 would be good too if you want to connect via Bluetooth. Don't think the hip DAC offers the Bluetooth option. Hip DAC 2 is cheaper, 3 mostly introduces the usb c on the dac itself... Where the old is the usb A. So the 2 would be good. If you want Bluetooth, spending less, there's the Btr5 2021
The Sony XB900n model I have this model I want to upgrade to the new Sony Ult headphones between these two models how's the bass compared to the xb900n?
The bass to me is a very good improvement over the xb900, I just ordered the xb910 because I haven't heard those yet and I wanna compare them to the ULT but to be honest I think these are a all around win for the ULT in general, the ear cups are deeper and larger and it's just a better sound to me.

Which mode gives same bass as the xb900? Is ult2 way more bass than xb900?
I think the Bass is cleaner and hit deeper with the ULT than on the xb900.

I would personally go with the Sony especially for the price and anc, I would do a video and put them up against the Sennheiser m4 but my son has the M4s on a trip right now... But from personal usage from both I would still choose the Ult Wear over them because of the actual clean and deeper bass, the anc and ambient mode are just icing on the cake.
I live in Peru, and the prices of Skullcandy and Beats that you get from the retailers is an scam, almost double the price that you would pay in the US, on the other hand, Sony sell their headphones at the right price and sometimes even cheaper than amazon's prices, that's why is the best choice, at least here en Peru

As much as it pains me to say it, yep, I have the evos as well and I tested them last night also, that natural bass is special in a darn good way out of these right now.
yal'll ever tried the evos with a headphone amp like ifi hip dac, fiio btr5? it's a surprise using them together....those other headphones do not compare once you see it for yourself

@@RJ_Uploadsit shouldn't pain you to say it, Haptic bass just isn't that. I bought all tge modern crushers and I matured out of it, but for newbies it could still be worth it

I have the same two pairs you are comparing here and I think they are both great and the anc part is not particularly important for me but yes the Sony is slightly better in my opinion. I use them both mostly for gaming and hands down for me the most emersive headphones I've ever used are the crusher anc2's. Nothing for me even comes close!
My Sony's are good however for gaming not even a comparison to the crushers.
Gaming wise have you tried the master and dynamic mg20s, they are awesome for gaming as well but I also enjoys those as far as listening to music goes, they also have a surround sound switch on them which I personally actually enjoy, it changes the stage on the sound alot and makes way more spacious.
I was gonna get the crusher evo it was on sale for $99, and the next morning, the sale ended. I bought the hesh Anc at walmart. The plastic felt so cheap, and it's 119 in store returned and just ordered the crusher Anc 2 online still onslae for 140. 😂
I actually like my crusher evos over the anc 2, it's something about the should signature that I like better.
So here's my only concern. I got the ULT Wear and I love them for the most part, with one exception. They need more volume. One or two more volume steps would do it for me. I also have the crusher anc 2, and they have slightly higher max volume. So I'm gonna spam this comment around, maybe we can convince sony to give this to us via a software update. I know they want to protect our ears (avoid lawsuits), maybe they can program the headphones to give a loud volume warning like many phones already do and keep it pushing. some content is just recorded at a lower volume...

Let me also give you one of my tips for more volume, there is an app I use called "wavelet" I use that app when I use any Bluetooth audio device for more volume by turning up the limiter in the gain control on that app and that's how I get "more" volume across the board from all my smartphones and there are certain phones that I use that actually change the volume also of all my headphones because of their internal software as well but if you haven't downloaded it test the "wavelet" app out I have been using it for years now.

I heard the natural volume on the Sony ULT is too low. I cant stand low volume
I'm having mixed feelings about the volume, because depending on certain songs it's too low for me also, but then depending on the phone that I listen to music on the volume is just fine and loud enough, but then there's also different music apps that change it up also, like with any of earbuds or headphones I use an app called wavelet that bumps the volume up amongst other things areas of sound that can be adjusted to your liking... But yeah I have noticed it, I think it's a Sony software thing when it comes to volume, I'm still having some major listening sessions.
