    TIME STAMPS:
2:57 -- Cory speaks about his growing up in Houston, Texas and being introduced to the music of groups like The Geto Boys, N.W.A. and Public Enemy at an early age through his older brother Mike. They go on to discuss producer Mike Dean, his legacy of being one of Rap-A-Lot Records' go-to producers and the magic that he does in the studio. Cory also tells about the session he was involved in with Dean when he and his brother Mike were invited to assist in the engineering of Kanye West's 2005 classic 'Gold Digger'.
6:37 -- Cory breaks down the importance of the Organized Noize production team, how underappreciated they still are despite they're undeniable contribution to the culture as well as how ahead of the times they really were. Cory also tells how Pimp C was the one that introduced him to the Dungeon Family Sound through the album 'Soul Society' as well as speaks on his experience working with Suave House Records founder Tony Draper.
10:04 -- Cory talks about how he was introduced to UGK when his brother made friends with Pimp C and Bun B while attending Lamar University. He tells about sending Pimp demo beats for years and getting pointers on how to improve until Cory became his full-time producer after he heard a track he loved. They go on to talk about the Talib and Bun B connection, feeling honored to have UGK on 'Country Cousins,' and Talib being invited to appear on the song 'Real Women'.
14:59 -- Cory explains how Pimp C's famous phrase 'Country Rap Tunes' came to be after he wanted to separate the UGK sound from the rap that was topping the charts at the time. Cory also tells how he wanted to help carry on UGK and Pimp C's legacy with the branding of the phrase as well as making the site countryraptunes.com to promote Southern rap artists and teach those interested about the history of Southern rap culture.
18:36 -- Cory explores how much Bun B has been like another big brother to him as well as learning from Bun about the music industry and even things about being a man. They go on to discuss Cory first meeting rapper Big K.R.I.T. and his take on him being a mixture of Bun, Pimp as well as Andre and Big Boi from Outkast. They also get into records made with GLC as well as making the video for 'Chose Me' featuring Bun B, GCL and Snoop Dogg.
23:45 -- Cory tells about what inspired his 'Breaking News !!!' interludes, how much he values well constructed albums, his take on how the streaming era has changed the dynamic of how records are released and his being forced to adapt with the times. They also get into the reasons why Cory and his brother chose to move from Houston to Atlanta shortly after Pimp's passing when things got really strange.
28:41 -- Cory talks about how he prefers a direct connection to the artists he gives his beats to as opposed to some of the more traditional channels producers go through to make things happen. They go on to talk about why Cory has been reluctant to pick up a mic himself these days even with all the praise for his pen game on albums like 'Take It Or Leave It' and get into Cory having to learn and respect the ATL sound when he made Atlanta his home.
33:54 -- Cory reflects on the process of Big Boi picking up the beat for 'In The South' and how Gucci Mane got to be on the track. They also discuss how special Outkast's Stankonia Recording Studios is to Atlanta, it being previously owned by Bobby Brown and has now become one of the city's musical landmarks. Cory also tells about becoming friends with Jazze Pha through email and how he was one of the first ones to help him settle into ATL life when he arrived.
38:06 -- Cory speaks on getting his knack for creating signature catchphrases from Pimp C. They go on to discuss Cory's latest release 'Mo Trill' being a collaboration album with Bun B and how the project came together after a couple songs turned into a full album during lockdown at the height of the pandemic. They also get into the high efficiency work ethic of Bun B as well as the amazing things Tobe Nwigwe has done and how well he represents Houston.
45:23 -- Cory tells how the Tracklib online subscription service has provided him with some of his best samples lately. He goes on to tell how he got the opportunity to work with jazz legend Bob James after he heard one of Cory's tracks with CeeLo Green and they discuss Bob's music being a staple in hip hop, Cory and Bun's song 'My Queen' about empowering black women as well as Cory working with Benny The Butcher on 'Theme Song' and not expecting him to be such a proficient emcee.
50:56 -- Cory and Bun's song 'Pot Of Gold' is discussed as they get into how it exemplifies them both now being at a place where they want to focus on teaching and inspiring. They go on to talk about Cory putting together a History Of Country Rap Tunes documentary with all the footage he has shot over the years. They also get into the reasons why Pimp C didn't want to do 'Big Pimpin' as well as discuss what Cory has coming down the line with productions on Killer Mike's new album, tracks made for T.I., as well as collabs with CeeLo Green and many others we'll be hearing about soon.

I went to see Big KRIT when he was touring with Macklemore. When I walked in, Cory Mo was on stage performing. I felt like I was the only person there that knew who he was.
Then it blew my mind that Talib came out next.
