People tend to forget when it is raining here during the WINTER months it is most likely snowing somewhere else in the country. I have been outside playing Aerobie in a T shirt here in January. We get spring weather which is almost summer like and people complain that it rained and they forget that it is still winter in most places in Canada. I love the rain. The rain brings us clean air to breath and all the wonderful plant life we have that makes BC so beautiful. How many places in the world would love to have our rain??? People think it is all about them. The rain is a blessing.
Though I can't afford to live there any more, I still miss many things about Van, and so had a great time with this vid. Thanks for posting. Wow, over 37,000 views. I'll be back to watch again!
I came here first in 1962 and stayed a short while. I went back to the east coast and told my mom that you must go to Vancouver and see this amazing place that is soooo beautiful. My mom took my advice and few years later made her way to Vancouver. She loved it so much she stayed. I decided to come back and 40 years later I still look up at the mountains in awe. We are so fortunate to have the weather that we have here. People complain about the rain yes; but I have learned to appreciate it; without it we wouldn't have the variety of plant life which makes this place like the Garden of Eden. People are so selfish and complain when it rains. It's all about them. It rained on their parade; forgetting the clean air they are breathing and the beauty around them. Take away the rain and it is a different place. In the winter we get our fair share and people complain again forgetting in other parts of the country that folks are up to their eyeballs deep in snow. PERSPECTIVE.
I LOVE it! We also live here with our young kids and feel so happy and lucky to be here. I wasn't born here but have lived here over 20 years and I still (all the time) have "Wow, I live here!" moments. I'm definitely HAPPY :), Vancouver is spectacular! Nice job.

Unfortunately these high profile Vancouverites don't represent the majority walking the streets of Vancouver. The place has changed significantly in the last 25. People used to be friendly. Shared eye contact, spoke to each other on the bus and street. It's a lucky day if you make eye contact. It's as if folks are afraid of making the first move and getting rejected.
Nice video, but could have been even nicer if it had included UBC, Canucks more outside things, more downtown, Skytrain all the things which Vancouver is famous for ;)

And it so packed up here that it takes me 20min to get to work what is only 8miles away! Oh right fuel, everyone has to drive diesel here low engine cc here cause no one can afford fuel or petrol unless your rich! So Stop moaning and be happy you live in a amazing beautiful city which is cheeper to live in then England! I been their and I'm already considering selling my business to move their!

Absolutely no reason to be unhappy in Vancouver. It's too expensive? Those are the prices you pay to live in a top 3 city globally. Too cold? Move to somewhere else in Canada and let me know how that works out for you.

Vancouver: one of the world's most overpriced cities where it rains 10 months out of year, there's one tiny entertainment/restaurant district and everything is dead after 11pm, massive gang problems, no world class facilities, inadequate transit system and were over 50% of the population can't afford to live in the homes their living in because Asians are parking their illegal money until they move it out to another city or country. Yup, tons of reasons to be happy you're from Vancouver.
Born and raised in Vancouver, but lived all over Canada and overseas. I have many complaints about Vancouver including some you mentioned, but people who piss and moan about the city being boring cause of the nightlife are twats. Oh, you can't find enough douchebag mega-clubs, eh? Did you notice you can windsurf and snowboard the same day? Or countless other shit you simply CAN'T do elsewhere? Expand your horizons.
Have you been to a nightclub in a trendy part of London? Hong Kong? LA? It's not full of twats or douchebags. The reason why Vancouver clubs are full of people like this is because the lower Mainland has a high % of white trailer trash that lives out in the burbs like Surrey, Langley, etc..Should we pull out the Stanley Cup riot video and show you what sort of people I'm talking about?
southbeach09 I have trouble believing you've been in trendy nightclubs in those places, cause I've been to 2 outta 3 and it was douchey. And yeah, there's douchebags from the burbs downtown. Is there a city where that doesn't happen? My complaints wouldn't be the lack of douchebag trendy nightclubs, it'd be the lack of hidden gems when it comes to nightlife.

Looks depressing... coming off the Tokyo video etc.. (not to mention ppl can't "move" to save their life).
Funny thing is, the only people that had any sense of rhythm were the black guys at 3:04 and 3:18. Whites and Asians? Lol, just lol.
