My daughter was in a mental hospital and she said a lot of things that concern me. It’s true they are understaffed and they won’t let you see them. You have to wait for your son/ daughter to call, I did not sleep for 2 days straight. Mental hospital are something to watch for and are hard to beat if something goes wrong. Do your research and you will be in for a big surprise
wow... you cannot leave anything in his room!!!! only his sheets. no clothes with buttons or zippers!! I work at a state supported living center and I have a 1 on 1 that is npo. he can't have anything by mouth. I don't take any food or drink into his room, when I walk with him I place myself between him and any water source. this guy belonged in a living center..
More then likely when he went to the hospital to the emergency room they did not have adequete info on why he was thier so he did not get the medical care he needed for swalloing òbjects the staff at the nental hosp didnt give the info so that he could get aproperiate treatment and only said he comitted sucide so maybey no one would ask questions no one is safe thier 4:48
is the staff was that short they certainly are not responsible it but let me in that this gentlemen this young man kept swallowing things according to the medical records had suicidal attempts I'm a registered nurse I see this crap all the time and everybody just wants to blame the staff the truth is this kid had very bad mental health programs and very bad mental health issues it sounds to me like he didn't get adequate care however so I truly feel sorry for his mom I think what should happen if she should be given some money but I think the hospital should be made to staff appropriately and quit worrying about the Bucks it's always about the money good luck bye

Not trying to dig on the patient here, but I am curious what "npo" means and why one would have to stop him or her from drinking water.
