Queen Valarine, I am sorry your point is not clear at all. Are you saying the man of God is misrepresenting this scripture? If you say that then I will submit to you that you are the one that does not understand that scripture. He (the preacher) did not say Jesus is the manna, Jesus Himself said He is the Manna. He stated that anyone that eats of His flesh(manna) and the bread of life. We that have eating and feeds on Him and His blood already have eternal life. Eternal life is not just about going to heaven. If you are a believer and a disciple, you already have eternal life.
Pastor Tim, I enjoy your preaching but I have one thing I want to put you in remembrance of. You said that the manna was Jesus, but that same book of John 6 that you began from tells us otherwise; Jesus speaking Himself. In John 6:58, Jesus tells us the difference between the manna and His Flesh and Blood. "This is that bread which came down from Heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: (Had that been Jesus, they would have had eternal life. Jesus is life eternal.) he that eateth of this Bread (Jesus) shall live for ever." The manna coming from Heaven was no different from the Genesis when God created the Earth. It was an act of the Spirit of God. It was not the presence of His Word.
Thank you for the word of God
