Coming to Italy is relatively simple for who arrives from an UE nation, but much more complicated from other countries because visa and permit to stay (permesso di soggiorno) requires.

I am moving to Florence in October from the USA. I am VERY excited yet also a bit nervous! Even though I am 52 years old, I will be on a one year Study Visa and hope to live in Italy indefinitely. I am about to decide on an apartment which is right across the street from my language school! Any further advice on living in or moving to Florence and Italy in general? Grazie mille! Paul ❤🇮🇹

@@sophiaemiliamadeleine7314 Ciao, thank you for your reply! Of course I love Italy, although I did leave Firenze recently to take care of some financial matters back in the US. My plan is to return in the spring but this time to Sicily. I have really been thinking about Casttellamare del Golfo. What would be your thoughts on this area or Sicily in general. Any advice or tips would be wonderful! Grazie, Paul
