Born and raised in Texas and I can 100% agree. Don’t judge our Mexican food based on Tex-Mex restaurants😭 us Mexicanos dont claim those. That is where yt people go when they are craving “mexican”. I need real authentic food.
Maybe I’ve been to the wrong ones but seems they all use yellow cheese.
I’m from EPTX and I echo this 100%.
Such a disgrace. *tisk tisk* I’m transparently white and I’m ashamed at my peeps for disrespecting Mexican food. My non blood family are all Hispanic and taught me all things real authentic Mexican food. I can make some crazy authentic Mexican food thst I pride myself on. White people ne doing the most lol
Exactly!! This!! Thank you! We have some delicious authentic Mexican food! But some how all these Tex-Mex places are all over the place and not even Mexican owned.
Mexican living in Houston for 7+ years now. Definitely not a fan of Tex Mex and avoid most Mexican places because of it. Please don’t cover my food with gravy, greasy meat & cheese. I just really love my authentic Mexican food 😋
Same
I agree! Been here 5 years and ugh!!! lol hold the queso please 🥴
Yesss agree I was about to post the same thing! Houston has the best MEXICAN FOOD definitely not Texmex 🤐
Same ! When I moved to Texas I was like what is this !
As a Mexican who lives in Texas, I 100% agree with Josh.
“I’d rather have TexMex than live in New York” 🤣 after roastinggggg TexMex
He just meant he dislikes New York MORE than TexMex
@@bernicebravo12 I understood what he meant. That’s why it was funny
“Funny you ask….” 😂
😂
Quick story about Texans. One time my lay over flight (Chicago-Texas) got delayed to Costa Rica for 3 days due to a volcano eruption. We met some Texans at the airport that offered us to stay at their house. We were skeptical obviously, but we decided to just do it (including my mom), they treated us like family and by the time we went to Costa Rica, they called their family over there to show us around. I haven’t met nicer people!!!!! I’ve from Chicago. I’m not used to that hospitality. It was truly the best!!!
Yall should visit Chicago and their food spots!
I was about to comment this! They don’t know what they’re missing over here
I was just going to post this. Chicago has some bomb food!
Literally about to say that. Chicago food hits
Yup, pilsen!
what’s a good spot near la villita? i heard there’s a good gordita place too but idk where it is..
I know Adam is shook af rn 😂
that’s the first thing i thought of when they started talking bout texas and then food😂
I agree 100% that Tex Mex food can’t compare to authentic Medican food. Because why do they consider burritos drenched in mild salsa good 🫢 you guys were being honest honest this episode 😂 I love it
Damn Sebas nailed it when he said that Miami cares more about the vibe more than the food👏🏼👏🏼 I couldn’t agree more
K
Chicago is UNDERATED with the Mexican food and our city is amazing. So much diversity
I didn’t know Texas hospitality was a thing. I went last year and they were so kind and yes people take the time to talk to one another. I loved it
When I left Texas I realized that people are not nice in other states 😂
& if you come across an a**hole trusttttttt they’re not from Texas! 😂
When Josh had a little lisp slip out 😂😂😂😂 I literally started dying lmaooo and he kept going on with it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m loving the double camera screens !!
Born and raised in McAllen, Tx (border town). Tex Mex IS mid. Definitely Taco Bell status. It's all about authentic Mexican food baby!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
956 all day err day! ❤
@@MickiCasas-ln7pm yaaaaas
Im so glad Chicago came through in the comments 😂 you haven’t had good Mexican food if you haven’t ate it in Chicago. We got range here 💯
Yessssss❤
This right here!!!! Chicago has the most variety, most authentic Mexican spots 💯
LOVED the two camera shot side by side
The end tho when Josh sings “I can be your hero , baby” 😊❣️😀
Leaving Chicago out of the conversation for BEST FOOD cities in the USA is DISRESPECTFUL!
I’m going next week. Where do I need to go 😅
My thoughts exactly
YUPPPP lol
@nataliegaona96 idk but if any one recommends 26th street, just beware it’s not the safest neighborhood 🫢
MY EXACT THOUGHTS!!! Like, how dare you! lol
I agree 💯 about Tex-Mex food! Thank you for backing up us real Mexicanos 🇲🇽
we love the early uploads 🫶🏻 keep them coming!
Nothing compares to Mexican food ❤ Monday don’t suck
i LOVE the dual camera scenes! This podcast is just elevating n improving by the ep, love to see it !!
I love the new editing!! And the names added!! Great poddy!! 😊
Deja Vu theory: there are several versions of us living in different universes across the galaxy. We are far a part but still deeply connected, when we feel Deja Vu it is our brains slightly glitching and maybe we’re experiencing something that another version of ourselves in a different galaxy has already experienced. So like Deja Vu is sharing experienced memories with other versions of yourself in different galaxies.
When my cousins from Tampa came to CA for the first time they were amazed by our tacos and the fact that our Disney has Mexican menu options as well lol
Loved the chemistry on the Better Help ad. You guys were in the moment speaking from a real place. It's appreciated .
These are the type of podcast I like !!!
Love that you guys post the podcast early bc I can listen to it while cleaning 🧹🫶🏽☺️
ANSWER; Per google: In Mexico, the highest class typically resides in affluent neighborhoods and exclusive gated communities in major cities such as Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara. Some of the most prestigious and expensive areas where the wealthy live include Polanco and Lomas de Chapultepec in Mexico City, San Pedro Garza García in Monterrey, and Puerta de Hierro in Guadalajara.
I think valle de bravo would be a decent comparison with the Hamptons
Love the 45er podcasts!
I feel like your genuine selves really shines through & it’s dope to see you both in your element!
Come to Chicago!! Come try our food!
Loving the split screen POV!
My Monday just got better!!! Good morning!!!!
I agree with Josh. My dad is from Michoacán and moms is from Texas. Let’s just say that I prefer his cooking over hers 😂😂
The ending 😂😂 “i can be your hero baby”
I watch you guys throughout the week during my lunch break, I need more than a 45er. This episode only lasted me until wed :P
LMFAOOO JOSHS SINGING IN THE VERY END 😂😂
Sebas’s laugh is iconic😂😂 it’s quick but it’s contagious

You guys are my comfort show
I am convinced that Josh can say anything and NEVER get cancelled because he says it in such a respectful way lol 1000% agree and not sebas saying "this seems about wite" and Josh saying "and its not allwite"
Sebas hair is just so cute
The editing this episode is top tier! Also, heavy on the carrying the yucateco sauce everywhere we go lol!!
Love you guys ❤❤

And all of a sudden my Monday just got better!❤️🔥 Happy Monday everyone!!!
Took my momma and my little boy to the beach… she took a nap on the beach.. we had mimosas and clam chowder. Honestly one of the best Mother’s Day in a while. It’s the simple things🫶🏽 I love that you two show so much love for your mom.. Hope my little boy grows up to be like that with me🥹💙💙💙 #boymom
Great episode! Sebas is hilarious 😂
I'm a Mexican from Chicago, I haven't tried all the LA taco joints but I feel like our Mexican food tastes so much better than yalls! But overall in Chicago we are known for our amazing diverse food in general let alone all the Mexican people that live here making a name for their food. All we do is cook since we aint got great weather most of the year! haha
I’m not sure about that one 😅 LA is diverse in its own right.
Goodmorninggg LP Fam!! 💪🏼❤️🔥
Y’all need to visit Chicago !!! Our food is 🔥
No I love your long videos 😭
Joshy sharing bucket list items is an example of a charming quality that makes him an attractive social media personality
LOL random thoughts with Josh & Sebas 😂❤
I know this is totally off topic but I am happy to say I’ve finally got caught up with all episodes of La Platica 🥳
I started listening to this podcast after hearing the episode on overcomfort podcast when Jenika had Josh back in Dec. I searched La Platica on Apple podcast and started from the very first episode! I literally listened to about 5 episodes a day while I was at work 😊 I absolutely love your show but I have a confession to make… this is the first time I’ve ever seen wat you guys look like on RUclips 😒 I can finally put faces with 2 men who literally make my days at work easy and entertaining 😂 I’ll stop babbling I just wanted to say heyyy and keep it up I love your show
53:20 I totally agree about deja vu meaning that one is on the right path. There's times where I know 100% that I've dreamt that exact scenario and it brings me clarity that I'm in the exact place in life that I've been in. I also agree with Sebas about the multiverse aspect of it as well, and sometimes I'm in a deja vu moment where something bad will happen, that doesn't end up happening, but I think that's what another version of myself has gone through. I've talked about it to my family and friends and always get told it's weird and that I'm the only one who's experiencing it. I'm so glad I'm not the only one 😅
Sebas little dedito movement while pointing at the map lol we see the LP ice we see youuuu✨
Me and my finance are so into formula 1, I knew you guys were going! It’s one for the bucket list 😊
love from Long Island!! 🫶🏽

You guys need to come take a good tour in Vegas! It’s definitely becoming a foodie spot in the US
I LOVE the split screen point of view where it shows both of them talking!
Also, I am from El Paso and in Chicos Tacos defense, they have changed a lot lol... they used to be 1000x better, but they've changed some ingredients and it's now a solid 6/10 😂😂
I love watching this every week #MondaysDontSuck 😋

Did I just say that? Sebas got me this episode 😂😂😂😂😂 I just love you guys. Also, Tex mex is only fire if you don’t have a good Mexican experience. I think spending time with mom is pretty much what she wants. Maybe make dinner together. Flowers.

Hey guys, wondering what kind of supplements you all take for gains or stamina in the gym?
And what do you think about BCAAs and other supplements available for muscle replenishing/gains
I recently used your code for Seat Geek to buy tickets to Bryson Tiller and my boyfriend was like what’s La Platica?! 😂 I had to explain to much lol
Bro I cracked up when Sebas said funny you asked 😂
Y’all gotta come to Dallas!! 😭 it’s all about the hole in the wall spots!! 🤌🏽
