@@autobotstarscream765 Well with the internet being so ubiquitous if they did it like the old games it basically is just "give everyone a free copy of every single card in the game." I think that the most reasonable way to give Master Duel rewards for buying physical product would be like if each pack had a code for some gems in it. Perhaps a way you could in theory implement the card codes in Master Duel without requiring a complete restructuring of the game's monetization is that when you add in a card code it adds in a feature where you can earn that card via dueling - either you need to fill out an EXP meter to get it or it becomes a random drop you might get after a duel, you can only get one copy per account, and you can't grind simultaneously for multiple cards. It's not good to have a card like the new XYZ cards nine months later or the Blue-Eyes Structure Deck two months later than expected. * Pricing is really hard, but I think a good choice is to create a completely new rarity that can only be given in tournaments and make some of the good cards in that rarity as prizes, so if they want, they can sell those cards to collectors.
Whoever wins worlds should get a custom alternate art with their favorite ace monster from the yugioh anime or the new Yu-Gi-Oh Konami shorts of them with that monster

Just put the spotlight on r-e this year like they did b-e last year. Shit getting ridiculous at this point.
Despite the adult jokes everyone would make, I hope 2025 is when we get Xxx-Sabers. Luna's upcoming deck is proof that there's more 5Ds nostalgia than printing the 849668328533th Blackwing card.
they could keep an intermediate level of rarity, between secret and the deluxe rarity, that have the same pool and ratio as the quarter century had, that mean that every ultra and secret rare also have a print in this intermediate rarity that you can found in 1 on 2-3 boxes. or even 1 for each boxes. On top of that you would have the deluxe rarity for a small pool of impactful card available in other rarity (+ a reprint like they did with mirrorjade in starlight). That way, you would be able to flex with a shinier version of a card you play, without having to sell a liver to play the top rarity print. that would also lower the price of some ultra or secret rare as those would be "easily available" at higher rarity and Yu-Gi-Oh player love shiny cards
OK, I know this is some fantasy scenario, but imagine the top prize at a major tournament including an upgraded rarity version of every card in their main deck list in an exclusive, high quality deck box. It would be a level of prestige you can literally carry with you at any tournament from there on
personally, I'd like to see a Master Duel exclusive prize in that you get a physical copy of the deck you used to win/top the event, with the rarity of the cards being affected by the rarity of the in-game cards. it be a pretty compelling thing for digital players to have something to get them started in the paper card game, should they choose to, and those who replicated their deck can have extra copies of top cards... what they'll do with them is at their discretion. the caveat is that unless there's some custom rulesets that can allow for lower powered decks to be viable, you can bet Konami would be printing at a loss with how pricy all the meta relevant cards are... still, wishful thinking, considering I lack the funds to recreate some of my favorite decks from Master Duel.
They should start adding price Support called a tournament rare card put a symbol on front of the card like they did with the 25th anniversary and only release them to people that do good in the tournaments give him like a playset or something
they could 100% give out special rarity cards. The issue with yugioh rarity is how locked in to a design you are for the specific cards. literally all you can do is add a holo effect and change text color. the color of the card HAS to be specfic, which doesn't really allow for extended arts or anything special. Alt art is it.
They are already going into the right direction, agreed. But at the same time couldn't hurt to speed things up. For my opinion, the ocg has a good structure to their booster boxes.
A tournament exclusive rare only available by getting top cut would be nice as long as it’s a staple and not something that becomes useless or banned in 6 months
1st we should bump down rarities in initial boxes like all secret rares into ultras and ultras into supers and suoers into commons. All chase cards should be ultra or a rarity bump like starlight. Collectors rare should only be available to those at sneek peeks. I also think we print more legacy support as well as print decks that haven't been printed yet or that we saw in the anime and Manga twice a yr. The less mainstream decks like toons and oricalcos and insects, as well as many other decks, should get love.
Ngl Cali, you cooked crazy in this video brotha. Love all the ideas to make the game we love even better 🙏🏻 I hope this gets to the fine folk at Konami

Buddy, I agree wholeheartedly with you on making certain cards (coughDragon Master Magia) more accessable for players. That's ridiculous how one card is $800, and most players can't afford to try to get it, unless they are incredibly fortunate to pull it in the set it was released. Two classic cards that fall in that category to a degree are Gate Guardian Secret Rare from Metal Raiders, and Chaos Emperor Dragon from Invasion of Chaos Secret Rare. I managed to pick up Chaos Emperor from a friend, while I did what most considered near impossible...I drew Gate Guardian out of a single pack...so I had to hightail it out the store, since so many people chased me. Go ahead...laugh.
Bro mans just want some good meta cards in a high rarity for winning, some packs on top and the trophy is bless. If they want to add some other cool stuff thats nice but realistically i think we can all agree that just getting expensive cards/packs FOR FREE is for sure worth it ! Maybe Konami could look at helping the winner accommodate themselves for wherever the next YCS is, like booking a hotel room, travel voucher or something of the sort
The Rarity Collection is the best form of cards being in multiple rarities. Personally I believe every card in the sets should be Common, then say half of the set also comes Super, then half of those also come Ultra, then half of those come Secret, then say 8 random chase cards from the entire set comes as a special rarity Alternate Art! This makes everything in the set easily obtainable for those who cannot afford to build those $500+ decks but still have those chase cards that will be expensive!
What if Konami made non-TCG videogames about Chronicles where they give some of the lore. Like a Witchcrafter farming/crafting sim like stardew valley where you found the guild. Or a Labrynth tower defense or dungeon crawler. Where you have to fend off adventurers, but then have to beat/play through the same defense as the knight. Or a Live Twins heist/stealth game A Sky Striker or Albaz action adventure or Hack and Slash.
The only issue I have with lowering the number of secret rares, ultras and supers in a box is that there's nothing stopping Konami from short printing the good stuff even further and replacing them with filler again. I have problems putting any kind of good faith in this company to do right by the TCG side.
I think what Konami really needs and what this year would be perfect for is a video game that is aiming for the market they've neglected, of people who may not be competitive, who like more new cards, or who like to play a variety of decks. Early Days Collection and Master Duel aim for different audiences, I'm talking about the type of fan who fondly looks back on games like WC2009-2011, Tag Force, Legacy of the Duelist, etc. A game that can act as an easier way to play the current game than being thrown into the deep end, and could just sell on being a good game. Roguelike deckbuilders are currently rather trendy and would work with all the pack filler that Yugioh has. Even if it isn't a roguelike game (though it would make a really good side mode), Vanguard Dear Days made enough money that they're making a sequel.
I have Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds World Championship 2009-2011 along with the Tag Force Games and I want Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds World Championship 2010 Reverse Of Arcadia remastered for Nintendo Switch 2
What if people who won tournaments get OCG cards early? I feel like this could encourage players real easily. I'm just worried that if this happens we are repeating the Crush Card Virus debacle all over again.
Tbh ycs winner’s should get like 2-3 booster boxes of a current set thats out or just a like supply of tcg products like sleeevs decks boxes playmats etc now card shops are a little different on prizes so it very pending
cardwise I think there are to many rarities of the cards. makes it a hassle, if they are gonna do the different rarities make it worth it and hard to find. also, I would like to see a Yugioh anime where the character goes and collects the cards for his deck, and not them just poping in there, and having to find someone with a card they need and figure out a way to trade for it or something.
I've actually been looking into fixing mine. I noticed a cyber dragon deck came out in Japan hat is straight fire, but they haven't released it in English yet. Which is friggin lame in my opinion. But yeah. Aren't we supposedly getting machine/dragon support in this new set?. I don't remember
more unique cards as tournament rewards. It would maybe attract collectors and people who otherwise wouldn't play... that resale value of a unique card $$$ And maybe put Konami ID to use? They could assign ranks and titles to people who farm locals, like in master duel. As an official and public display of their dedication to competing in the TCG. But that is also extra work for shops to handle.
So what is the main issue? To many rarities? Or the lack of availability? For example, have the that chase card be the highest rarity. But all cards should be printed in common/non-foil. Think Lorcana. Where If you want to play with a 300 enchanted be my guest. But at the very least the rest of us can still play a non-foil version of the card.
For my hopes: given that they are finally giving the west an official release of the newest anime series, there is finally excuse to FINALLY BRING RUSH DUELS HERE. I play Rush with friends on Edopro and I have been enjoying it much more than standard for a while now. Give us a new Rush game that isn't trapped on the switch and pack in a promo card (like one of the alt art Sevens Road Magician cards) to incentivize pre-orders
Treat the best players like people. Konami is so blind that they don't realize the great ambassadors this game has. Trif winning YCS should have gotten a custom full size pendulum card or something unique and collectible that represents him.
Make cards of new archetypes and sets easier to get and release reprint sets of rarity upgrades. This would motivate players to actually buy boxes and increase your buyer base vs just whales buying boxes. You never want most of your business coming from the same source of people because if they drop off you lose your consistent revenue.
I know Konami has connections to Shonen Jump, they should totatly call in some favors and get them to make some alt art from famous mangaka. Like imagine some E-Heros from Horikoshi the mangaka from My Hero Academia, that would be so worth grinding for.
This might be the year i come back to Yugioh semi-competitvely. Pokémon is cool and all, but i feel the toxic side of Pokémon coming and honestly I'm not for it.
At the end of the day it’s economics 101, don’t give enough value in booster boxes then players won’t buy much of it. You’re heavily relying on whales/vendors to carry the demand by buying and then reselling. Increase the value you provide to players in game enjoyment and cards that are not only competitive but enjoyable to build/play translates to providing more value to a Yugioh player, then you increase your buyer base that’s not scoped to a smaller slice of the pie of buyers. It’s not a hard concept Konami
I'm honestly surprised this video isnt about the banlist or game rules given the title. The game is broken right now. You go first, you win, you go second, you lose. That's just the standard. If they would just ban cards that have more than one negate and get rid of broken cards like maxx c, then everything could be a 1 for 1 trade off, evenly matched gameplay, no pun intended. Also, some floodgating cards and boss monsters are just too powerful and unfair, like that raidraptor monster that can negate you from playing yugioh, and summoning limit, if you go first, you can play your entire deck then activate summoning limit... like no, thats not fair if you're in your right frame of mind.
Sorry to ask this here, but I tried going to the store and I don't think they ship to Puerto Rico. Or at least it wasn't letting me put my address. Was just wondering if anyone could confirm
I love YGO but the game has become 100% pay 2 win. If you aren't buying the latest decks with the latest staples and the latest of everything. You don't win a single game. I've been trying to play Ryu-Ge Dinos with 30 Handtraps and Maliss/Ryzeal literally just outplay the deck regardless of what I do even after using 3+ Handtraps. I've been to 4 tournaments in the last 3 weeks and i've dropped everytime without winning a single match. Facing nothing but Maliss/Ryzeal Fiendsmith decks. If you aren't playing them, you aren't winning. Its destroyed my desire to even play the game. I'll just sit at home and play Marvel Rivals and get more enjoyment out of the 3 hours instead. It's crazy and before the "just say you're broke" comments come flying. I'm not broke, I'm just not making the absolutely horrible financial decision to put $1k into shiny cardboard. Get real.
I wish they'd give better support for Dark magician and Red eyes, and of course, blue eyes. Alt arts are cool for collecting, but for game , not so much. I mean, just trying to get a deck moderately viable for play already has a pretty steep price. Which is kinda dumb. Limiting people's ability to play good decks or learn good decks. But if you're hopeful (big dawg) maybe I'll wait... We'll see I guess
OCG structure of booster boxes would have me buying boxes. We need meta cards in obtainable raties period. I want to buy boxes but I'm not going to pay 90 dollars for a box and then still have to spend 600 dollars on on the hand traps I didn''t even pull 1 copy of. Its so bad right now that I don't really even buy yu gi oh singles or sealed unless its a rarity collection. I show up to yu gi oh locals, buy one piece packs, then go and play yu gi oh lol... Also as a Mimighoul player I agree, aint no one excited to open a SCR mimighoul charm get that shi out of here xD
Prize cards like anime style or not, and loads of the newest boosters and boxes and overall merch. Just shower winners in merch and cards 😂 that’s what we want if we can’t get money

I didn t play yugioh for like 5 or 6 years and i came back few weeks ago so i don t know a lot about new cards
As a Branded Player, yes we will be annoying but because we have the BEST lore (besides Warrior Dai Grepher)
more unique cards as tournament rewards. It would maybe attract collectors and people who otherwise wouldn't play... that resale value of a unique card $$$
And maybe put Konami ID to use? They could assign ranks and titles to people who farm locals, like in master duel. As an official and public display of their dedication to competing in the TCG. But that is also extra work for shops to handle.
Giant Cards as prizes please
So what is the main issue? To many rarities? Or the lack of availability? For example, have the that chase card be the highest rarity. But all cards should be printed in common/non-foil. Think Lorcana. Where If you want to play with a 300 enchanted be my guest. But at the very least the rest of us can still play a non-foil version of the card.
Complete sets or specific cards in winners rarity or something
For my hopes: given that they are finally giving the west an official release of the newest anime series, there is finally excuse to FINALLY BRING RUSH DUELS HERE. I play Rush with friends on Edopro and I have been enjoying it much more than standard for a while now. Give us a new Rush game that isn't trapped on the switch and pack in a promo card (like one of the alt art Sevens Road Magician cards) to incentivize pre-orders
Archetype specific cards shouldn't be higher than ultra rare. Secrets should be generically applicable so it never feels bad getting one
Konami should really just give out a couple EXPENSIVE rarity card prints. How expensive is entirely dependent on them.
Treat the best players like people. Konami is so blind that they don't realize the great ambassadors this game has. Trif winning YCS should have gotten a custom full size pendulum card or something unique and collectible that represents him.
Allow the winner to HELP customize a card for an archetype
Nope ppl make one's way to good because they don't know how make fair one's good on dB and see they really over power stonger then ban cards
@ agreed so it should be they can help create a new card
Make cards of new archetypes and sets easier to get and release reprint sets of rarity upgrades. This would motivate players to actually buy boxes and increase your buyer base vs just whales buying boxes. You never want most of your business coming from the same source of people because if they drop off you lose your consistent revenue.
Bring back the ultimate rare and make the staple, decent and chase cards in the set and make them more available
The most important things Konami can do is. #1 Stop the power creep by balancing out all the decks. #2 Reprint any card over 5 dollars.
I know Konami has connections to Shonen Jump, they should totatly call in some favors and get them to make some alt art from famous mangaka. Like imagine some E-Heros from Horikoshi the mangaka from My Hero Academia, that would be so worth grinding for.
“Unc lookin out for ya” 😂🤣😭
All I want is a regular release of structure decks again.
9:05 gapping the bridge?
1st place ycs winner should get steam game + 10 of the latest card boxes😅
Sorry to ask this here, but I tried going to the store and I don't think they ship to Puerto Rico. Or at least it wasn't letting me put my address. Was just wondering if anyone could confirm
Money and only money money money that's all we want money
Yes but it won't happen
Anyone else noticed how Konami started ending the one card comparehands decks when viable competing anime TCGs popped up?
Coincidence? I think NOT!!!
Get real.
Imma be running to the Gundam TCG like Konami is toxic (which it is)
I just want the third Lab monster from Big Welcome 😭
It’s insane how it took for America to fall apart for YGO to get good
Tht was me who mentioned the switch 2 lol 😂
I wish they'd give better support for Dark magician and Red eyes, and of course, blue eyes. Alt arts are cool for collecting, but for game , not so much. I mean, just trying to get a deck moderately viable for play already has a pretty steep price. Which is kinda dumb. Limiting people's ability to play good decks or learn good decks. But if you're hopeful (big dawg) maybe I'll wait... We'll see I guess
Bring back the uncut sheet prizes
Lab anime where cali gets rejected, dominated and then blue balled in the trap castle to find out that TJ is already king 😂😂
King Cali up in that castle all day.
Always love the intros❤
I think full art cards would be amazing for the game in 2025
Hear me out: Full art cards of the deck you top with + 1 of your choice
Yeah lets get Every ocg super transform into secret rare short print
Alternate art or special tournament rarity
How tho ? The "game" has been in a powercrept Decadent mess for a decade now. Master duel should have been a wake up call.
I didnt know Future made Yugioh content
It's sad when a card game that's less then 3 years old has better prizes then a card game that is as old as ancient Egypt
They could make more structure decks, since we didn’t get any in 2024
We want more structure decks for 2025
Does this mean Konami will start printing Half Century Rare this year?
Prize cards like anime style or not, and loads of the newest boosters and boxes and overall merch. Just shower winners in merch and cards 😂 that’s what we want if we can’t get money
Why no gx? I want more sacred beast support :')
Let the winning player design a few cards for them to put into the real Yu-Gi-Oh!
