- A gift from the Churches of Hawai‘i, The Hawai‘i Blessing was recorded during the first week of May 2020 by worship leaders from 25 churches across all 6 major islands of Hawai‘i. During this time of sheltering-in-place, isolation and uncertainty about the future, we could all use a blessing and a sense of togetherness. In Hawai‘i, we call that ‘ohana - family.

We know THAT.. but it's easier to just say church.
As I watched several of the blessing videos I was struck with the no name no church just Christ and his blessing. For the 1st time in my life I felt a unity with all my brothers and sisters with no church affiliation represented only Jesus

Agree. So tired of the divisions and focus on the political. And I’m talking about the church. We should be focusing on Jesus, not politics. Like Bobbi Houston of Hillsong Australia said, maybe God has put the world in time-out, and people will either be humbled, consider their ways, and repent, or, sadly on the other hand, become more prideful, arrogant, and rebellious. And, I’m talking about the church. Jesus is purifying his people. Will we come to the surface as dross and continue the political battles, or be the refined gold the world needs to see to reflect Jesus?

The scripture being sung here, taken from Numbers 6, was found on two tiny pieces of a silver scroll in Ketef Hinnom, an archaeological site southwest of Jerusalem. It is the oldest known Biblical manuscript in existence, dating back before the Babylonian captivity. Exactly as we have it today, by the way. Thank you for this amazing version of such a text!

I just wanted to add to the love. I was baptized at Kaimuki Christian Church on Easter Sunday, 1974, and we used to have church camp at Sunset Beach Christian Church every year. I also love seeing someone from Kawaiaha'o Church in this video - churches old and new can continue to worship and share the gospel together.
So great you have such wonderful Hawaii memories.

Glory! This song comes out of my present church in NC, Elevation Church! I was there when we sang it for the first time, Sunday before Palm Sunday. I gave my life to Jesus in 1992, while serving the Army in Oahu. My dream has always been to return to Hawaii, establish residency and serve God and his people! God is making a way and it will happen!!!! This video makes me weep every time! God is faithful to finish what He began! God bless Hawaii!!! I continually keep you in my prayers.

I was out there two years ago pregnant in a shelter and living out on the street now I live at church that I serve at and we play this at times before service. It is very moving as I know first hand the fear outside the gates and that is happening in the world. I am blessed that my daughters who were born when I was on the street were adopted by a church family as I have been. I am very grateful to all of Hawaii churches for their love. Thank you.

Thank you...my daughter is class of 2020 and has been in tears over the loss of prom, song contest, a traditional graduation, and now maybe the start of her freshmen year of college....this brought a smile and a tear
