- This is a WIP (Work In Progress), you will see some bugs and probably some changes will happen in the future, be it graphics, gameplay or other features.
In this video, I'm showing a single-player game session with Haggar.
The emulator used now offers a more faithful sound quality compared to the previous video: Retroarch with Genesis Plus GX core + 60% filter + Nuked YM2612.

This looks better than the Sega CD port already! Excellent work. I do think Haggar looks like he is moving a little fast, especially vertically. That said, WOW! Amaaaazing!
The gameplay is very smooth and Haggar is moving faster
I like it! It really makes the character seem like you are controlling a power house beast of a man and not just some average joe on mission.

Some feedback of things that felt a bit off when compared to the original (I checked against some arcade gameplay videos to validate my impressions):
The piledriver animation seems to end too early, it seems like it is not quite hitting the ground.
When Haggar walks holding an enemy, sometimes it looks like Haggar and the enemy move at different frames.
When Haggar walks diagonally, I had the impression he was moving too fast.

Yeah we have a BIG to do list and those are one of the know problems. Really easy to adjust 😊

Looking great. Colours are much more accurate than Sega CD version. Enemy collision with the ground is a little off though, when Haggar does suplex and stuff the enemy never really seems to contact the ground it's like a frame of animation is skipped. Love the blood splatters and the fade in of characters entering through doorways.
There's still a lot to do, sorry for some issues with enemies and Haggar not fully touching the ground in his moves. It will be fixed.
@@MXRetroDev don't apologise. It's looking awesome. Any thought towards a Sega CD version with some more sprites on screen and beefed up audio?
@@mleolv426 So far we are not thinking about a SEGA CD version. One detail is that SEGA CD can't push more sprites on the screen since the VDP is the same, it just has an extra CPU that can bring more speed and effects.
Spectacular work by everyone involved, definitely something to be proud of.
Perhaps in the future reuse the engine with original artwork and sound for your own commercial release!
awesome! looks like the perfect port of a home console we ever wanted :O! keep doin' this great job! Haggar moves real smooth, the graphics are movin' without slowdowns, it captures the esence of the arcade gameplay, it's perfect ! hope we can have a demo version to test soon at least =)!

this is amazing it you've got the feel and look of the gameplay in an already very close to arcade state i am sure with future refinements you will be spot on, haggar is perhaps a bit too fast but thats easily rectified i am sure, top job Mauro and crew!

Wow, looks really great. The characters look like they have more colors than you're used to seeing in a Genesis game.
Genesis had the power to run Final FIght, I'm surprised that they didn't port to it... But honestly, this one looks so damn good!

The Genesis can run any game it's just these lazy game companies were on Nintendo kid friendly side and Sega screwing up rushing the console too not knowing they had the best console in there hands but pushed it aside for more crappy stuff they making now like a stupid mini I don't respect SEGA anymore I respect these new Developers who are real true to the Genesis fans and keeping the Genesis alive

Melhor trabalho feito até agora diante de muitos outros que estão tentando trazer jogos antigos para o megadrive. O game está com a jogabilidade fluindo, os sprites estão ótimos, inteligência artificial boa, efeitos sonoros excelentes. Tudo perfeito. Parabéns.

Quero da uma sugestão que muitos podem gostar principalmente porque a maioria jogamos sozinho, poderia ter a opção auto p2 play no modo ultimate igual FF3 do snes assim podemos ter um boot para jogar ajudando e deixando o jogo mais divertido e que ele não de game over igual FF3 tendo a possibilidade de usar continue pois no FF3 isso é bem ruim
Sera que é possivel? Seria bom de mais pra quem joga sozinho e da um up no game

Amazing work! The sound, the graphics, everything looks gorgeous! :D
It still has a small bug though (the same that the Mega-CD version had), when Haggar grabs one enemy, the enemy's graphics take about 6-7 frames to synchronize with Haggar's animation.
Anyways, good job! I'm looking forward to try this gem! :D :D :D

@@damin9913 I know that they still haven't finished the game, that's why I was pointing that small bug. If they had finished developing the game it would have much less sense pointing the bug (they would not fix it if they have finished developing it). I was just trying to help, not complaining about the bug.

What a great success this is so far! Your team's hard work is very exciting.
I suggest a few changes in terms of the color palette: The red of the depleted life gauges can be a bit more bright red (as in the the arcade version), and the purple of the timer could be a bit less intense / softer. Just a thought! The backgrounds look excellent!
I know the original cps1 version was mono audio only but i would appreciate if stereo could be added as an option. One of the things i liked from the original Final Fight on snes was the soundtrack's stereo remixes. I think the Genesis soundtrack you showed sounds preety good and accurate ( may be better actually) to the iriginal arcade, but unlike the cps1 the Genesis can do stereo sound, so i think is a shame not using it.
Aside from that the game is looking very good and it seems is going to get even better, congratulations !!!!👏😍
