Kurt will always be #1 for me. I remember meeting him at Rams training camp back in Macomb IL early 2000's. He didn't care how long the line was, he sat there and signed for every kid in line. Still have the picture. Always a class act.
As a Steeler fan, it was tough to root against him in that last Super Bowl. That man took a team with no business being in the big game....and the result was one of the greatest games ever played on that stage.....& gave us a run for our money. I will never forget the highs (Harrison) & lows(Fitzgerald🤯) of that game. Would love to see him on a coaching staff.
@@timking-iy9jw I think he’s having waaaay to much fun being on tv and analyzing quarterbacks. I met him at the Super Bowl at a Christian outreach. Did you watch the game? Did you see his O line? You couldn't have. Also which 1 hit stopped him from running because he had 16 rushes? You don't watch games you listen to everything the media says.
I love the fact that he literally was bagging groceries when he got the call to play for the Rams and went to the Hall of Fame. If that isn't America in a snapshot.....
It is American arrogance to call that “America in a snapshot!” Rags-to-riches stories are not uniquely American. Those stories happen across the globe.
Kurt has Russ pegged! I can’t argue with him. Russ has gotten away from who he is. He needs to quit trying to be what he isn’t. His game was beautiful. He was unlike any QB I have ever seen. Russ needs to parlay with his coaches to ensure that he gets enough pass attempts to afford a few more interceptions and a few more throwaways to avoid sacks.
You and kurt don't know what you're talking about. He had three rookies on that offensive line , behind him was receivers that didn't get separation in time before the rush .
Lamar was drafted I 2018. 6 years in and people are STILL trying to adjust, fine tune, and explain that “one little thing” he needs to learn or do differently to be a Championship QB. What does that tell you about his ceiling ?
Unfortunately, as the years ago by I have agree with you. His ability to hit routine throws is limited. But I love him as a player he’s elite and could make a Super Bowl but his team would have to be loaded and he’d have to stay healthy
@@theboredtrucker3898no he most certainly isn’t! Vick had the threat of the run at any given moment, but he could sling the rock too. Jackson has consistently missed open receivers throughout his career.

Regardless of the outcomes of the games over the last couple of seasons, Josh Allen has proven over and over that he can go toe to toe with Mahomes. Jackson……not so much.
Warner is describing Rodgers. Playing to not make a mistake. He's so talented he gets away with it most of the time. But Seattle beat them in the playoffs because he was scared to throw at Sherman. It's why he loses in the playoffs. Doesn't want to lose the game, instead of scared to not win it.
Kurt Warner, "Lamar wasn't patient enough to let plays develop." Also Kurt Warner, "Chris Jones was constantly getting pressure." Gee Kurt, do you think your first point is explained by your second...
Jackson did have some inaccurate throws and missed an open receiver on the final possession, but you have to be some level of hater to look at that game and come away criticizing him for playing poorly. Dude balled out, especially in a scenario where he's been often rightly criticized in the past, playing in the trail position down a couple of scores. If Isiah Likely has a slightly smaller foot the discussion between Eisen and Warner would be very different.
Yes. Chase Daniels made an *excellent video* about this. Lamar _did lose_ accuracy on those last plays, was tired & it shows. However everything *_before_** that* was o-line issues.
So why not just give the Chiefs the Lombardi trophy now, who needs to play the season when the national sports media is already calling it after 1 game!
Mahomes and Allen are great runners, but they always keep their eyes downfield. And prefer the big play. If Lamar’s first rate is covered, he takes off.
Russel Wilson is getting paid 1.2 million to play for Pittsburgh while Denver’s taking that 80 million dollar dead cap hit If Bo Nix hits that’ll be something to watch I think personally Wilson is done
Lamar in the championship was looking to pass all the time. In this game, to compensate, he looked to run all the time & pass as a last resort, with mixed results.
Lamar is one of those QBs that, as much as they have been hyped and celebrated, you just know they will only ever win one SB at best, if that, no matter the team he has around him. I said the same thing about Russel Wilson although he came close to proving me wrong. I knew after that SB interception that was it for him no matter how much longer he played.
Interesting with how you saw that for Russel, my brother said the exact same thing. I got the feeling that in my brothrrs case though, he always saw something in how Russel (to him) was as a person, his personality and how he came off to him. That the main thing. Not always him in plays on the field. Like he actually thought he was not a great leader or person. He often used to say that he is so performative, if I remember it right he said that he had an ”uncanny valley motivational speaker tax exempt church preacher type”. 😂
@lille-mary1517 Your brother had it right. He was never a true leader on the field and his off the field persona was carefully crafted for maximum virtue signalling. When he did something charitable he always made sure the media was there to catch it.

@matthewmockabee2410 a lot of those pressures were because Lamar held the ball and was running around the pocket though. Don’t get me wrong he played great most of the game but at the end he had Likely open in the end zone he just had to throw it on a rope to the corner of the end zone and instead he didn’t set his feet he threw a floating lob pass that he didn’t even set his feet to throw and it was a bad throw that luckily didn’t get Likely seriously hurt with a death ball like that. Then every next play he had Zay Flowers wide open in the back of the endzone and threw it behind him. When the game was on the line he missed 2 easy throws for NFL QB’s to make and maybe cause he started to run on both of them and realized the guy is open and threw it.
