Great fun... it is the only motorcycle gang bang I participate. Everyone is kind of imbued with the gentleman spirit... so usually no stupid people doing burnouts and loud pipes (who never saves anyone's life). 10th time for me :). As we are less and LIsbon is not that jam packed on sunday, we get the police men to escort us, so, it is great not to stop on all the red light during the ride. :D My profile picture was taken on 2018 ;)
👌 Definitely I love the gentleman spirit of the whole ride, something civilised about it! Thank you so much for recommending it to me 👍 I had such a brilliant time and I will 100% be doing it again next year. Oh nice a police escort haha. Now that sounds like fun, very cool 🤙 Cheers
👍 was so much fun, some incredible bikes and people, brilliant to ride in a group like that! Glad you enjoyed the video. I will definitely be signing up for next years ride as well. Cheers
Hi Dave, it was a pleasure to make, thanks for watching and really glad you liked the video 👍 It was so much fun!! Already cannot wait until next years. Cheers
👍 thanks, it was so much fun, I really enjoyed it 😁 Nice hope you had a good one, it is so good to do and also for a good cause as well. A win win. Cheers and same to you. All the best
Greetings from the Pine Barrens of New Jersey USA. I love the sounds of the British bikes. As I have stated before I now ride the 114 Street Bob but my favorite bike was a 1975 850 Norton commando that I owned in the mid 70s.
Greeting Alexander, there certainly where some great classic sounding bikes! Your 850 Norton sounds like a beauty. Cannot go wrong with the Street Bob, such a cool American motorcycle 🤟
Thanks for talking about mental health and sharing your story. It’s what DGR is all about! No surprise am all about the mental health benefits and social aspect of riding. And thanks for giving the ride marshals a bit of coverage. It’s my 6th year but first time volunteering to help out. I was at the turn from Park Lane into Piccadilly. Hope you ride again next year.
Hi, it is an absolute pleasure 👍 Thanks you for listening to my story. I am so pleased I did the ride, it was absolutely brilliant 😁 100% I will be doing it again next year and hopefully for many years to come, what a great event. Of course, many thanks to you and the other marshals, it would be very hard to do the ride with out you, thats for sure!! Hope you had a great day and see you in the next one. Thanks
That was me and my buddy on the blue and red Speedy’s. Mine’s therred one. It was the perfect bike for this ride. What an awesome day. If you ever fancy a ride out with another Speedy give me a shout. I’m only in Kent so not too far away. Cheers Simon
Hi Simon, nice glad you saw the video 👍 Was great to see a few other Speedmasters on the ride. Yup such a cool day, what a brilliant ride. Cheers, I will bear that in mind I appreciate it 👌 All the best and enjoy the good riding weather!
I did a toys for tots ride about 4 years ago. I rode on a borrowed mid 90s Harley Davidson 883 Sportster. The ride was short, but it was definitely fun. I hope to do the 2023 DGR in Kansas City on my own bike, which will be a 2022 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. I've had mental health issues stemming in part from my tour in Iraq, so DGRs mission is also my mission. Cheers, mate!
Nice, a great bike to do it on 👍 I loved this DGR ride and especially the charities it raises money for. I will definitely be signing up for the 2023 ride! Great bike you have there also, love the Interceptor. Stay strong and ride happy. All the best, cheers
Nice vid, Gus. Love your enthusiasm as always! Was a pleasure to meet you there. If you want to see Angus from another angle, have a look at my DGR vid. I stalked him for a lot of the ride ;^) I'm the guy with a 360 degree GoPro on a stick in my backpack!
🤟 thanks glad you liked it! Same was brilliant to meet you as well, and was a pleasure to ride along side a fellow Speedmaster rider 👍 perhaps we will do it again some time.
Awesome day and very well attended great stuff there Angus well done mate. Good for you and it stayed nice too ,hey ya know what they say ! the sun always shines on the righteous and there is no better cause than mental health and cancer something I have tasted both of .👍
🙌 Thanks, it was such a good day, absolutely loved it haha and all for a good cause as well. I will definitely be doing it again. Absolutely, may the sun shine upon you. The tough times we go through can only make us stronger (I hope!). Your struggles are exactly why this event is held, so power to you 💪 See you at next years!!
It really was brilliant, the perfect weather as well and so much fun to ride in a group like that 😁 Oh nice, what a beautiful sunny day to start your trip. Hope you have a great trip on Goldie and may the road Gods bless you 👌
🙌 Thanks. It was really cool to do, had such a good day. Ar no, well I suppose you enjoyed your time on her and now time for a new adventure. You can enjoy following my Speedy in the videos still 😉 🤟 O yes!! That is awesome, wow a big step up the ladder! Congratulations, what a great buy. Bet you cannot wait for that, some great times to come.
@@redangrevival I have done some riding but much less than I would have if the weather had been nice. As far as both sunny AND warm days we have had here so far this "summer" I count only about 3! The temperature has usually been around 9-15 degrees, some sun but also a lot of northerly winds. I went for a ride today as a result of you saying that riding does help to get one's mind off of things that simply lead no-where good and you were right: even if one doesn't feel like going for a ride - go anyway!
Sorry to hear you haven't been able to ride as much as you would like. Hopefully there are some nice sunny days in store for you in the coming weeks. If not, a trip abroad may be a good idea! Absolutely, I often go for a ride even when I do not feel like it, even just for a coffee or something. I always feel better afterwards 👍 Keep riding and may the sunshine shine on you!
@@redangrevival Thank you very much! The summers here can range from weeks of rain, freezing cold, 28 degrees for weeks or, usually, some mix of the aforementioned. I have booked a trip abroad later on the year, hopefully nothing will get in the way of that! See you in the next one!
Loved watching all the bikes...must have been very exciting! Totally relate to your mental health issues... I myself would struggle to be with so many! Stride and Ride Cheers Angus
Thanks, it is something I am working on more to overcome. Will be planning more group rides in the future I think. Yup it was so much fun! Some amazing bikes and to ride as a group was brilliant 👍 Cheers
