A Catholic priest has also said keller is so fond of their teaching he would keep asking for more of it.
I have stories from Catholic praising him of how wonderful it was to still be Catholic.
The protestant church dont know this cause it was direct to the catholics.
    From tim keller
I’ve got some really strong friends who are strong Catholics, and they love the book, but I’m sure when they get to certain places they say, “Yeah, there we go . . . ” But they don’t mind it, because they’re really happy to have a book that’s basically defending the whole Faith. And if I was just running up the flag saying, “I’m a Protestant, I’m Reformed, I’m Presbyterian, I’m Reformed, not Arminian”-I don’t know. This is my best guess, my best guess at how I can model the unity of the Church Churchn

i don;t know why anyone would want to be associated with catholicism, they are almost bankrupt financially from lawsuits over abuse, and bankrupt completely morally. the hypocrisy of criticising drag queens when all catholicism is is a game of dress up.

What books should we read? I tend to do more avoidance for fear of more doubt or unbelief arising. I am constantly telling the Lord I don’t even have to have the answers I just want You! These horrible doubts bring me such intense anxiety. I need help

But is that because they believe it and they find it too hard and are looking for a way out, or is that because they are no longer convinced its true, aka the state seems to be trying o live a lie?

@@macmac1022 Everything is related to the state of faith. Some have a lot of faith, others have little, and some are convinced that they have faith, but in reality, they don't. I believe that many people drift away from faith because "earthly evidence" (let's call it that) is more convincing than the "heavenly" one. Additionally, many desire a life without God, which leads them to live that way. In other words, their current state is one of not finding meaning in life, even though they may be believers. This is compounded by many doubts and experiential problems such as health issues, financial difficulties, and so on. This accumulation of things is what I referred to as their "state," with which they are not comfortable. All the mentioned factors are stronger than their faith. Then, when they pray and find that God does not "respond" to them, that's when the change of mind happens-they shift from believing to not believing.

Well belief being what you are convinced of this is the one that seems to make sense for me and the deconversion stories I have watched seem to back this up. This is not look for a way out though, this is how belief works. If you think belief is a choice, just try and chose to believe that the pyramids of giza are in canada.

There are many different reasons I have heard from them causing disbelief, never have a heard they just desired a life without god.

@@HarryNicNicholasI don't remember claiming to directly converse with God, so I guess not "all" of us claim it, then. I pray, so I talk to God, and I spend time in His Word and so, in that way, I guess He communicates with me after a fashion. As for doubts anyway, I don't know about you, but when I was a teenager, there were many times that I doubted that my parents loved me and had my best interests at heart, though I "knew" they did and they told me often. Did you do the same when you were younger? I guess that is a similar way that we can have doubts about God and our christian walk. I hope I said that in a way that you understand what I meant and have a wonderful day! 😊

I mean, that doubt is real, but my beliefs and the evidence are stronger than my doubt. God is big enough that He can handle my doubts.
But honestly, what is the real point of your comment? Why would it bother you whether or not I believe that the bible is true the Creator of Everything may actually care enough about me to want to spend all of eternity with me, and therefore sent his Son/Himself to pay the penalty for MY sin to repair my relationship with Him so that I may live in His presence?
If I wanted to spend all day everyday for the rest of my earthly life playing Minecraft on the Xbox, would that bother you? How about if I spent everyday reading A Tale Of Two Cities? Would that bother you? Why does the fact that I spend my time worshiping God bother you enough to leave a comment that seems so derisive? It's a honest question, I'm listening. 💕
