I had a Shiba who lived for 18yrs. He went with me everywhere, even by land in my truck to Panama and back twice! That is a 5,000 mile trip each way! He went to Baja, Mexico with me four times. He had been to 28 of 50 states here in the USA. He loved to take trips and may have been the most traveled Shiba in the world. He even stayed on an island with me in Panama for two weeks. We kayaked to the island. He saw monkeys there and even crocodiles. He loved to hunt crabs on the beach and was a mouse hunter too. He was the best dog I ever had and I miss him a lot. I think it is time for me to get another Shiba. You can see him in my profile picture, he is behind my shoulder. We were kayaking in Wyoming in this picture.
By far one of the cutest puppies and most beautiful dogs I've ever seen in my life.

Listen everyone. Shiba dogs are cute. But Shiba is actually a very difficult dog. It is delicate and has high pride.
The dogs in the video are all clever, Because the owner is raising the dog well where the video doesn't appear. but remember that the reality is that it doesn't. And I want you to know the fact that some Shiba dogs are thrown away.
If you want to have a Shiba Inu, please prepare the environment properly and learn how to grow it. Many people now want this dog because of its cuteness, but the Shiba Inu, which the breeder properly raised, is naturally calm.

I was surprised to see her off a leash as they are known for being runners. Having been the parent + grandparent of 2 shibas I know they are great dogs but hard headed and quick to chase (since they have hunting instincts) and run away (as they are super curious about EVERYTHING).

Amazing how a dog from Japan, lives a life in Canada, with people there for him/her all their life. Haribo is very cute, I am for sure getting a Shiba when I can.

We walk in the woods almost daily and play! Many hours outside are very important for a calm, happy and healthy Shiba. Most definitely, they are unique and great companions.
